The community, then called Camp Gordon Johnston, was set near the beautiful beaches of the gulf coast, and St George Island, for easy access during training for the D-Day invasion! It is situated conveniently between the fresh, upscale town of Appalachacola, and the scenic state parks of Wakula Springs. Lanark is a beautiful place to stay to explore the history and breathtaking beaches of the Forgotten Coast!

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrige,microwave and coffee maker and even coffee. 1 full size bed , a sofa bed,Dish television and WiFi are provided. It is situated in the center of Franklin County which makes it an ideal spot to visit Apalachicola, St. George Island, or Carrabelle. This property is located 6 miles from the main public beach on SGI, almost a straight shot across the bridge. I am happy to welcome all guests to my own little Taradise on "The Forgotten Coast"!
