House vacation rentals in Carmen Beach

Beautiful and extremely private place, and also close to everything!... beautiful view. loved it, we hope to come back!

This home had beautiful views, a wonderful staff, and was a superb find for our family’s Christmas vacation. Santa Teresa is amazing and we had some of the best food on vacation ever! Our host , Brano was very responsive and our local helpers were amazing. There is a housekeeping staff on site, but they respect your privacy and keep watch over the property. They brought us extra towels when needed and were overall extremely respectful and helpful. For those traveling to this location, I strongly recommend either a car or ATVs as the home is located up a steep driveway. It is walkable (and there are 150 stairs to use instead) but to do this on a daily basis, you would have to be pretty fit and young. In addition, there are stairs from the driveway to get down to the house and these would not be appropriate for anyone with balance or stability issues. They were fine for us at 50 years old, but should be a consideration for anyone with walking or stability issues. We had a great time!

Had an amazing stay ! Location gives you a real feel of Costa Rica, she was not kidding when she said you need a 4X4 to access the property. Love the home, love the view, and love the easy communication with the host.

We had a great time at David's place. It had everything we needed, was spacious, clean and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and the beach is within walking distance. David was proactive and helped us arrange nice dinners, had tips and was very flexible. Thanks David! We definitely recommend his place.

Excellent accommodation, just as beautiful as the photos, an incredible landscape surrounded by nature. The accommodation as such is very tidy, quite equipped, and the beds are very comfortable; in general everything was very nice, we had a spectacular week. The road is a little tricky, luckily we were in 4x4, I think any light vehicle comes in but with more difficulties, but it's worth it!

Absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking setting and view! Peaceful indoor/outdoor living with retractable sliding doors. Accommodations were impeccable. Loved the open concept and having the bedrooms in their own section, away from living area. Host was so responsive and helpful. The pool was so wonderful to relax in and well-maintained. Shanty (Concierge/welcomer) and Marina (houeskeeping) were so friendly, helpful and amazing!!! This was the most beautiful place we've ever stayed! The local dog/cats were so sweet, loveable and well-behaved. So happy we reunited with our friends here!!! Santa Teresa Beach was beautiful and enjoyed food and drinks at a local beach restaurant. 🥰

I could not recommend this airbnb more!!! The hosts were the best hosts I have had through airbnb. They messaged us before our stay to give us instructions on how to find the place along with restaurants and recommendations on what to do. Any questions we had they were extremely attentive and responding in minutes. The location was stunning. It was difficult to get to with a car but 100% doable. We ended up renting an ATV from a company that they work with. The ATV company came to deliver it to the house and picked it up as well The hosts offered a cleaning lady to come daily which was an even better plus. It was only about a 5 minute ATV ride to the start of the main road where all the restaurants are. Overall, we had an amazing stay :))

Everything was amazing including the chef I hired. The massage therapist for my retreat was top notch. Marisel the house manager was top of the line! She was very responsive and took care of all of my needs for my women's retreat as well and scheduled the massages and transportation. Sergio our driver for our excursions was the best. The customer service was phenomenal. My only challenge was I scheduled a beach picnic, and the description said there was a path to the beach. This is a path right along the driveway separated by greenery (not sure why the path was even built when you can just walk down the driveway and end up in the same place and easier. This path includes about 50 steps and about 8/10 cement stepping-stones that lead to a gate, you then walk across the street to another path that's not good for elderly or anyone with knee/hip/leg challenges as it's over debris, rocks, roots, water, mud etc and at least another 1000 steps if not more (not good at distance).

Pictures do not do justice to the view from this property ! Host was amazing , recommend renting ATVs , host arranged for them to be delivered for us, we loved riding them into town , to the beaches and visited Montezuma and the tide pools. We look forward to renting this property again on our next visit to the area !

The villa is gorgeous! We really loved it, the design is very unique with stunning view! The location is very comfortable, few minutes ride from the tide pools, and the other beaches of Mal Pais. Away from the mess of Santa Teresa, but yet close enough to visit for restaurents, beaches, and morning bakery. Judita was very nice and responsive, helped us with everything we needed. The house is really immersed in nature, as you live on a tree together with the wild life. Very unique place!

we had a great stay at Laurie's place. From initial booking to checkout, thr communication was excellent. Also the place was perfect for us. We spent more time in the home and in the pool than I had expected because it was peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful place and had a relaxing time. The pool, the jacuzzi and the big kitchen were our favorites. The best experience was the wildlife which surrounds the villa. We saw 2 different kinds of monkeys, toucans and many more animals which directly came to our backyard. We can highly recommend this place. Just make sure that you bring your own car, to get to the beach or nearby restaurants. We would definitely come back again!

We stayed for one 1 month at Joe's place and what can I say, it was awesome. Joe himself is very kind, responsive and super chilled. He even made food for us and invited us to hang out with his friends and come to party. The hospitality was incredible. The place itself was beautiful. It is the middle of the jungle, surrounded by fruit trees, palm trees and cool animals. Very private as well. In the middle is a pool and a community place where people come together and hang out. I loved the kitchen at our house, the big fridge, the balcony and everything else. I also had a special request about synthetic fragrances where Joe made sure they avoid it before I come and I’m really thankful for that. The beach is right in front of the house, a little grocery store 5min walk and Santa Teresa is like 5min by car. The people in Costa Rica are also very friendly and kind. I can highly recommend staying at Joe's place. Thank you Joe!!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, beautifully designed, and well-stocked the space was. The location was ideal — close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Whether we were relaxing on the patio, enjoying the local scenery, or cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen, every moment felt effortless and enjoyable. This properly is amazing! The hosts and cleaning services are very friendly. You will need a 4x4 to make it up the hill and it’s not easy for a newbie. But don’t be worried, you are in Costa Rica and most roads are like this. The property is minutes away from Santa Teresa beach but also very close to many other beaches that are more private. The sunset from the house is the best you’ll find in the whole town. If you want to check out to sunset on the beach, check out the sunset from the house first. Don’t be worried about the bugs either. They are everywhere but won’t interrupt you while you sleep. You will also need to pay attention to the ants if you leave food out. Would recommend this place to anyone!!

We had a great stay, the airbnb is beautiful and had everything we needed. It’s only a 15 min walk to the centre with nice cafes and restaurants and about 5/10 minutes to the beach. We would definitely come back

We had a wonderful stay! The place is beautiful and wonderfully quiet – a true retreat. Its location was perfect, with the surfing area being an easy walk away. The house itself was very comfortable and we felt completely safe. Communication with the host was fantastic

The place is charming, it has everything, a pleasant homely atmosphere. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bathroom and shower are pleasant. The location is really central but quiet and close to the beach and restaurants and shops. The hostess was amazing and helped us with everything we needed immediately and happily.
