Houseboat vacation rentals in Caribbean Sea

We had a fantastic time, we rented a boat enjoyed the water, had a great time in town. I would definitely recommend staying for a few days.

I spent a month here. We felt at home right away. Exceptionally clean, everything you need in the kitchen, lots of towels and access to laundry on site for free. Walking distance to town or beaches, easy to hail taxis and close to bus stop. Beautiful sunsets everyday. Al and Urania were always available by phone or in person to help with any questions. Wifi and smart tv . Kayaks available to use on the bay. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at Poli's over-water bungalow! It was peaceful and quiet and just lovely to be out on the water. We wanted to take full advantage of staying out there, so we only used the midday provided water taxi to go into town and get groceries to last us during our time there. While the weather wasn't very sunny during our stay, we still really enjoyed our stay! We used the kayaks, swam & snorkeled, and just relaxed. Poli was extremely responsive to our questions and handle any things that came up during our stay. We would love to stay there again!

The place exceeded my expectations. It is a very beautiful and quiet place, ideal for resting. Listening to the sound of the sea from the place provides a sense of calm and connection with the environment that is really appreciated. It has all the amenities you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Everything was in order, clean and well maintained. Definitely an excellent option that I would love to return to.

This is a one of a kind Airbnb! It’s right on the water and has beautiful deck to watch the sunset. The kayak was a fun bonus and made for great adventure to the floating bar. The bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom was also spacious with hot water. The mini fridge was helpful to have and though we mostly ate out, the little outdoor kitchen space was great to have as an option. It’s walking distance from the ferry/the main part of town with restaurants and shops. The hosts gave us helpful recommendations for where to eat, about the water taxis, and even helped us launch the kayak into the water. We really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it!

Wow....what an amazing place! First off, Katie, the host is incredibly nice :) And the house is amazing! We had such a blast. Beautiful sunsets, loads of fish everywhere (and a giant turtle came to say hi) - easily one of our favorite AirBnBs. We love Golfito and this will be our new hangout. 5 stars all the way! Thanks so much for this memorable experience! 

The place is beautiful. I wouldn’t recommend staying in Marigot bay the whole time. There’s not a lot of great food options, all with the same, fairly limited menu. The local food is the best option - jerk chicken, stews, etc, but even those are not as good as the rest of the island. This place is only accessible by boat - you need what’s app to get on and off the cabin to get food. The beach is walking distance and there’s some food and beverages served when you get chairs during the day. The hike along the property (Billy goat trail) is stunning. It’s really very very beautiful, but it’s not a great place to see the island. Also being a sound machine - sound travels across the water and it can be fairly loud.

If you need to choose a place in Bacalar, choose this one! It's a paradise on earth, it felt really good. The view is sublime and the dock is very nice to enjoy the lagoon. All the comforts are present, hot water, wifi, air conditioning, coffee etc. Thanks again to the hosts who were very welcoming!

Houseboat was a unique place to stay, and it was great to have a non-resort option right in the hotel zone. Lots of cool birds and fish and a crocodile around the houseboat. The houseboat does rock a lot when you’re moving around it, and the bathroom is a little weird (sink and toilet are in the shower, essentially). There’s a grocery store right there and restaurant and shopping around. Get used to the bus and you can take it up and down the hotel zone quickly!

The location is great, right on the water and steps from the Bocas Dive Center. The apartment was neat and clean, and Jason and Naomi were very helpful, providing us with lots of tips. The bedroom situation was a bit unusual, each having its own entrance, but overall, it was comfortable.
