MartinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Another long stay at Forge End has come to an end for my self and work colleague. Again a big thank you to Alea for accommodating us and looking after us over the past 13 weeks and during the booking process. Forge End has been a real home from home for us and has made a long period working away from home a really enjoyable. Your home in Applecross is real find for us and if/when we are required to visit Applecross you will be our first choice every time. Thank you again from both of us.

The Gardener’s Cottage with wood fired Hot Tub

SaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

Bluebell Cottage Glencoe with Hot Tub

JustinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great time here. The location was great for us (easy drives to Fort William, Glencoe, and Kinlochmore). The home is very clean and in a perfect location. We were able to walk to dinner one night, and we were able to visit great locations in all different direction from the home. Every drive is along water with beautiful scenery all around. On Day 1 we drove 30 min North, where we hiked to Steall Waterfall before having lunch in Fort William. Afternoon at Ben Nevis Distillery followed by a gondola ride at Nevis Range for some afternoon hiking. Day 2 we drove 15 min East to Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall, lunch in Kinlochleven, and an afternoon hike around Glencoe Lochan. Day 3, we drove 15 min East to the Three Sisters area, where we enjoyed our favorite hike of the trip, Hidden Valley. We also visited Skyfall Waterfall and explored Glen Etive. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m lucky enough to visit Scotland. Mary is incredible and a great host! Beautiful home!

Eagle's Rest, Geary, Isle of Skye

DaveRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Eagles Nest is a stunning property in a peaceful and beautiful location. David was a superb host who was there to meet us and give us great inside guidance on Skye. The apartment was spotless and had considerations for every situation we could think of including a lovely hamper which meant we didnt need to consider rushing around for food after a long drive. A cosy home which is ideal for 2 people and is a perfect location where you can easily drive to all the tourist spots in under an hour but not be overwhelmed by Tourists day and night.

Atlantic Drift - Isle of Skye - Amazing Sea views

AlexandreRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stayed at Atlantic Drift for four nights and had an amazing time. The accommodation itself is beautiful, charming, clean, cosy and well-equipped. It's located in a small village but it's still really private. The village is a bit isolated, at the far north west of the island, but if your looking for somewhere remote, like us, it's the perfect place. It remains close from some interests points like Neist Point or the Three Chimneys restaurant, and maximum two hour drives to see the other ends of the island. Linda and Ken were very nice and quick to respond. Thanks again for having us.

We had a fantastic stay. The studio is in a stunning location with great views of the loch and mountains. It's very cozy and feels like home (and it was spotlessly clean). It's a perfect base for exploring the area and a lovely place to come back to in the evening. Neil and Carol also provide a great, and very detailed, guide for things to do in the area. We would highly recommend staying here.

House Mairi Aonghais cosy Traditional Croft House

EricaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This was a lovely little cottage. Very peaceful location. Host friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Very clean, pretty and nicely presented property with log burner and underfloor heating. Well thought out and good use of space as it is quite wee! We actually really enjoyed not having a TV and sitting reading our books by the fire. We would have preferred a microwave rather than an air fryer. The area is beautiful with lots to explore very locally as well as further afield. Great for sea kayaking and cycling.

Ardchoille-Home from home cottage!

GregoryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Amazing! Amazing view of the water and the town that was wonderful; a view which was matched by amazingly wonderful hosts! Seumas and Margaret were so helpful from the very beginning of our communication till the end of our stay. Their lovely home made us feel at home and was a perfect spot from which to spend time in Portree and also discover Skye. Everything was just as pictured and described…except the pictures cannot quite capture the beauty and peace of that beautiful view. Seumas and Margaret were kind and helpful but it more accurate to say that they saved our trip. The roads in Skye were more than we could handle (not being accustomed to driving on that side of the road), and within a short time of hearing of our predicament, our very kind hosts had helped sort things out for us, finding us a guide/driver and our holiday was saved. We hope to return to Skye and if we do we would be thrilled to be able to once again make Ardchoille our home away from home.
