What a beautiful spot in Cape Breton! Ann’s place is lovely, and the location directly on the Bras D’or Lakes is spectacular- even in winter during our stay. The house itself is well thought out and very well stocked with everything you need for a great stay. Thank you Ann!

I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful cabin near the beach. The place was very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The host was excellent—very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

We had a fabulous stay at Tammy's home and were very reluctant to leave. It was extremely comfortable and very stylish. We enjoyed sitting on the deck into late evening watching the sun set over the lake. Definitely a place to return if we ever revisit Cape Breton and can highly recommend.

Ocean view

PeterRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This was the 2nd year we picked Carol Anns place as the base for a 2 week work trip for our party of 3. Each bedroom was nicely furnished and the kitchen has quality appliances and all the kitchen gadgets and equipment you would likely use in a one to two week stay. There is a washer and dryer with supplies. New from our stay last year is full screening for the front porch which was done at a professional level so a very nice spot to sit and look out at the bay.

Private Lakefront Oasis in Baddeck

PabloRating, 5 stars18 months ago
This is a very welcoming cottage in an absolutely beautiful location right on Bras d'or Lake. Went swimming off the yard, fall colors on the trees, well equipped but not overbusy kitchen, comfortable bed, peaceful interiors... We were here four nights for the Celtic Colors festival and had a wonderful time. By the way, Baddeck is very central, making this a great location to take in concerts from Cheticamp to Sydney, and close to the Gaelic College for the late-night pub concerts. Hope to be back!

Lauretta’s place is a lovely cottage. We needed a place to stay that was quiet but central and this did the job. Very close to Sydney if you need it but also close to Baddeck and beautiful scenic routes. The cottage is cozy and well stocked. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Aqua Bella (Beautiful Water)

MeganRating, 5 stars18 months ago
What a wonderful place to spend an October weekend with 4 generations. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable with all necessities provided and some luxuries on top of that. Easy to find coming from Marion Bridge as there is a big maple leaf on the garbage box and numbers are clearly displayed. The view is amazing and there are multiple locations on the property to enjoy it from. There was a small rock/sand beach at the bottom of the hill that you could swim or bring your own kayak/SUP. Church's convenience is only a few minutes away and has a liquor store and grocery items. It was around 16 minutes to get to Kings Rd in Sydney where you can find grocery stores, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc. It was about the same distance from the cottage to Two Rivers Wildlife Park. We saw so many wild animals of Nova Scotia up close and ended our visit at the barn where we got to cuddle baby farm animals. 10/10. We are already planning our return next year! Thank you Valerie!
A chalet-style cottage is positioned near the shoreline, surrounded by greenery. The exterior features a sloped roof with large windows, providing views of the water. A wooden deck extends from the entrance, inviting outdoor relaxation. Bright trees frame the scene against a partly cloudy sky.

Baddeck Bras d’Or Lakes Waterfront Cottage

JanRating, 5 stars20 months ago
What a place - perfect location, with its own dock and the matching canoe. A cabin from your summer-at-the-lake-vacation-dream. Three bedrooms a spacious lounge area with an open kitchen beside and beautiful views from every chair, even when doing the dishes. Blueberries and chanterelles on the roadside and a bald eagles nest across the harbor. Doneldas puffin tour ist 15 minutes away, so is the next golf course, that will take absolute beginners and let you run wild with the golf cart. Louisbourg is worth a daytrip and so is the Cabot trail, but you can as well just peacefully hang out at cabin and lakedeck. We loved it and a week is not enough.
