Magical Memories on the Bras d'Or

GregoryRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Lovely home, privately situated next to the sea. The views were spectacular. The home was very neat and clean and very well maintained. It wasn't too far from the town of Baddeck where we got provisions and visited very good restaurants. We loved our stay at this home. Richard did a good job as our host. Thank you!
A well-lit entrance reveals a wooden deck leading to the cottage, with soft illumination highlighting the steps. The surrounding pathway is visible, lined with trees and ambient lighting in the distance, creating a serene evening atmosphere.

View of the Sea Cottages #3 pet friendly

MeagRating, 5 stars69 months ago
Mark was a phenomenal host; stopped by more than once to check in, say hello, ask if we had any questions or concerns and just chat! Wonderful and thoughtful touches around the cottage that we discovered throughout our time there. Location was a 10/10!! Large, beautiful yard atop lakeside where many fires were enjoyed. Close to lots of hiking trails, shops and quaint restaurants. Can’t speak highly enough about Mark, he even lent us a hiking guide book which we found very helpful and came by on our last evening to say a fair well. Thank you for everything!
A view of the property from the water, surrounded by lush green trees. The spacious home is set against the shoreline, with a sandy beach visible nearby. Calm waves ripple across the water, reflecting the bright blue sky.

Big Harbour Hideaway

WandaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Big Harbour Hideaway is situated on an inlet of the Bras D’Or Lake with little boating activity so it was quiet. The dock is very solid and does not move with the tide, there were four Adirondack chairs on the dock with a few more available near by. Across the inlet is a really nice view of gypsum cliffs. There were bald eagles and even a seal! The house felt comfy and was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towelling, tissue, garbage bags, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. The beds were quite comfortable and although there is no air conditioning the breeze off the water was all we needed to cool the bedrooms at night. Although the house is on a well there was plenty hot water and the water pressure was really good. It felt homelike and it doesn’t get better than that! There is no cable tv, but I believe you can hook up a device to it to watch movies or play games. There is a pretty serious Scrabble game on the coffee table. Baddeck is only 12-14 minutes away by car.
A scenic view of the Mira River is presented, surrounded by lush greenery and trees. The expanse of vibrant grass leads to the water's edge, where gentle waves can be seen. A clear blue sky enhances the tranquil atmosphere of the setting.

Stunning Ocean View; Beach Access Cabot Trail 25km

PieterRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Quant place is an amazing location. Everyone was friendly. It is tucked away at the end of a long dirt road and has a gate to go through. While all the waterfront is private, we were told by a local we could enjoy the beautiful white sand beach. The loft is a little low. It was find for my kids but I’m 6’ and I hit my head. There is a giant screen and a projector which was nice for those rainy nights. The kitchen was well supplied and we appreciated the snacks left for us at check in.

The Hydrofoil Hanger on Baddeck Bay

DaisyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved the cottage, the view and we really enjoyed the hot tub too ! There was a problem with the airbnb reservation which we confirmed but John didn’t have it, and the cottage was shown as available on our dates 2 days before our check in. it was a bit stressful (@airbnb these things should not happen) considering we had paid the full non refundable charge but John sorted it out quickly enough ! We definitely recommend staying there !

Waterfront Nautical Home by the Beach

HongRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Rahim's place! He is incredibly kind and thoughtful, going above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. My son especially enjoyed playing with the collection of shells in the house, and Rahim was so generous in offering him a few to take home as a keepsake. The location is also fantastic—just one minute from the highway, making it super convenient to explore the area. Highly recommend staying here!

Vee's B's by the Sea

BeckyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We wouldn’t change a thing! The house was adorable, spotless, has a beautiful view and Vee left muffins and fruit in the house waiting for us! Loved being able to use a washer and dryer, everything seemed new and comfy, not like “leftovers” being used to decorate a rental. Do not pass on this home!!!

Baddeck Bras d’Or Lakes Waterfront Cottage

JanRating, 5 stars22 months ago
What a place - perfect location, with its own dock and the matching canoe. A cabin from your summer-at-the-lake-vacation-dream. Three bedrooms a spacious lounge area with an open kitchen beside and beautiful views from every chair, even when doing the dishes. Blueberries and chanterelles on the roadside and a bald eagles nest across the harbor. Doneldas puffin tour ist 15 minutes away, so is the next golf course, that will take absolute beginners and let you run wild with the golf cart. Louisbourg is worth a daytrip and so is the Cabot trail, but you can as well just peacefully hang out at cabin and lakedeck. We loved it and a week is not enough.
