a nice relaxing stay in downtown Akaroa. Close to the main shops and restaurants it was a great location.

Very neat and spacious accommodation that is within easy walking distance of the center of Christchurch activities. The sitting room and bedroom were nicely appointed and had high quality sheets and towels. It felt very private and chill despite the fact it’s next to downtown. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus.

Such a cozy, cute hotel and with the tram running right in front! Lots of attractions nearby and good restaurants.

The vibrant living retreat was beautiful and the hosts were friendly and responsive. We only stayed for one night but would have stayed longer if we could.

The "unit" was exactly as the website describes and shown in the pictures. It is a very old Hotel in the middle of Timaru; can hardly get more central, with good views of the beach and park from the front verandah. But it is an old hotel which is in the process of slowly being renovated, so there are a few areas in need of repair, but these areas have no impact on the room/area where we were accommodated. The room itself was reasonably large, with an adequate shower, separate, potentially communal "kitchen" - although we had it to ourselves. I am not sure if that is the policy of the owner. We were given two drink vouchers to a local restaurant which we did go to, and had a great meal. A bonus was meeting the host's mother who is a great water colour artist and some of her work was on display. Unfortunately the host was called away on the day we arrived, so we didn't get to chat to them about their "work in progress". Am looking forward to that when next we stay in Timaru.

We absolutely loved our stay here and Stacey was an incredible host! The room was big, beautiful, clean, cozy, and extremely comfortable. In the morning we woke to freshly made breakfast and had a lovely chat with Stacey and the other guests before departing. I would highly recommend staying here!

Rilla gave us a tour of the hotel, which was really interesting. She and Bernie are excellent hosts, making great progress on the renovation and restoration of this historic Timaru hotel. Our room was large and comfortable, with access to a shared kitchen for basic meal preparation. Handy to The Bay snd some very good eateries. We enjoyed our 4 nights and would definitely stay again.

Exceptional - this beautiful AirBnB is a high quality build with high quality comfortable furnishings and decor in a beautiful garden setting. We were so comfortable and wish we could have stayed longer. If we ever find ourselves in the area again this will be our first choice for accommodation.

Quirky old hotel. Rooms and en-suites beautifully refurbished, plus communal kitchen and balcony. The perfect location at the top end of New Zealand's most characterful main street but also dropping into the heart of Caroline Bay. An interesting walking trail to Dashing Rocks. Lots of foodie choices. We were particularly impressed by Sukhothai Thai Restaurant, Coffee Culture Cafe (open all hours) and Cave Kitchen Pizza stand - all within 50 metres. Also the Oxford Hotel restaurant. All of the staff are friendly and Rilla was amazingly proactive and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, thanks

Had a wonderful stay at the Dominion. Great location and walking distance to everything you need. Beautiful view of the bay from the balconies. Rilla and Bernie were very kind and hospitable. Extra added touches were appreciated. The renovation project is a big one but there was absolutely zero disturbance to our stay. Highly recommend!

So clean and comfortable and Stacey is a wonderful host. Breakfast was extensive and delicious and the venison pie for dinner was amazing. This gorgeous spot will definitely be on our list for the next trip. Thanks Stacey!
