We had an amazing stay, with excellent comfort. Breakfasts and dinners are worth it since the food they make is very good and also homemade. The landscape is beautiful and the owners are very kind, helpful and their recommendation of sites and routes to see is 10. We will repeat without a doubt😁.

Aitzol and Ainhoa are extremely welcoming and always attentive hosts and I felt very comfortable in their beautiful home. The location is superb, in a small hamlet along the Soba valley with spectacular scenery all around and beautiful walks directly from the house. Delicious breakfasts and dinners are served on the terrace, all delightful with fresh local ingredients. I look forward to returning!

The place is just stunning. The rooms are well decorated, spacious and clean. Within the property there is an excellent restaurant that serves delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. Overall the staff and the place are superb! Warmly recommended 😀

Great!!! A place in the middle of a beautiful and quiet valley, in which we have rested and recharged the batteries! Both Aitzol and Ahinoa a love, always ready to attend and delight you with their home cooking and their desserts or their magnificent breakfasts. The truth has surprised me very much, I will definitely repeat the experience! Thank you for everything!

Very friendly staff, even though we are not fluent in Spanish, we managed to communicate efficiently. The accommodation is located in a very small secluded village, but offers everything you need. I would recommend other visitors to eat at the accommodation, they offer amazing local dishes that are very tasty. Thank you Yolanda!

Alicia was an excellent host. She was very flexible with the check-in hours and was really kind, always taking care of us. The property was very peaceful and just 10 minutes walk from the center of the village. Highly recommended!

We had an excellent stay at La Casa de los Miradores located in a riverside village. We were looking for a place near Santander that offers a richer experience than the typical hotel stay. This property was perfect! One of the best things about this house is the namesake “Mirador”, a glass enclosed sitting room that makes for an amazing place to enjoy the views of the rolling hills. We stayed on the upper level which gives you a lot of privacy since you have the whole level to yourself with an open “yoga area” plus a private bedroom/bathroom. The main level is available for use and features a gourmet kitchen and living area with doors that open to the lawn. The other highlight are the hostesses, Pilar and Isabelle. They are fun and easygoing. Isabelle is a native Cantabrian and can give you tips on local sites, restaurants and day hikes. The location is perfect - an easy day trip to Santillana del Mar and all the gorgeous beaches. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Is a great place, people is really nice

I had such a wonderful, 10 days stay! I had a very clean, quiet beautiful room with a lovely view on the wild green countryside, with peaceful cows and horses. Gema and her family are truly nice, warm lovely people, it was a pleasure to talk with them. Breakfast was abundant and very good. I will surely come back and I totally recommend you to stay there. The position is strategic and I’ve been able to drive all along pays basques, Cantabria and Asturias in a very comfortable time, reaching without effort all the famous beaches and towns. Hanne and Jasper made our stay a dream. Their house is beautiful, comfortable and peaceful, perfect to get away from the city and reconnect with nature and with other humans! There are lots of places to visit around the area and they are super helpful in guiding you through the options. They are wonderful and inspiring people, and meeting them makes the trip even more meaningful. I'd recommend renting a car and staying for as long as you can - you will want to stay! I'm certainly coming back.

We had a great pleasant stay, in a very well located place in relation to the various sites to visit. Our hosts were always attentive and gave good advice. We were sad to leave them because we talked a lot together. Finally, thank you again for the breakfasts, very important for hiking! Thanks again.

We absolutely recommend this place !! It’s hard to say what we preferred as host were really nice, place, bedroom and bathroom are really good and breakfast soooo good with fresh bread and homemade jam every morning. The environment is awesome and peaceful. A relaxing stay in the middle of the nature is waiting for you !!

It's been a great stay. If you enjoy the purely rural settings, the Gandara hostel is a good option to spend a few days quiet and disconnect. Jose Manuel and his family have been very friendly and helpful from the moment. A family atmosphere and warm where we felt right at home.
