Villa vacation rentals in Canossa

We just returned from a weeklong stay at this beautiful villa, two families with kids ranging in age from 2 years old to 9 years old. The villa is fairly secluded but we had no problems finding it just through Google maps. The property is essentially fully enclosed so we did not have to worry about the kids wandering onto the roads. The house was extremely clean. Both kitchens were fully stocked with all the pots, utensils and serveware that you need. The outdoors was the best! Beautiful pool cleaned daily; not sure if pool was warmed but it was hot enough outside to keep the temp extremely comfortable. Behind the pool is the beautiful vineyard and volleyball area. The owners were so friendly; they gave us giant baskets of garden veggies and another basket of snacks and so much homemade wine. Elena/Ester were so helpful. The Conad is within 8 minutes away and had lots of fresh produce. We drove into Aulla for coffee and pastries (10 min away). Great base to stay with kids!

Beautiful villa with a sensational view . Rod was an amazing host that lives downstairs so always accessible for any matters. Bagni di Lucca definitely a region worth staying in.

Very nice house located in a quiet area. There were 12 of us including 5 children and 2 teenagers and everyone enjoyed the beautiful pool and garden. There was a playroom for the kids. Claudio was very available and kind when we had any questions. Thanks to him also for his advice

Roberto was extremely helpful, kind and accommodating for our very specific needs. The location and property are unique and absolutely beautiful. It provided a wonderful escape and peaceful break, while being well connected to nearby Florence and Lucca.

Amazing hosts and super private house with everything needed for an amazing stay. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking as well. It’s placed in an amazing landscape- but you do need good driving skills to get there (non-paved) road through the wood. After the challenging road your stay is as private as it gets. No neighbors around anywhere!! Everything was absolutely wonderful, we would definitely come back. Thank you very much:)

Great location with a great view.

Very good welcome. The house is very spacious. We were a group of eleven people and we had enough places for everyone. The pool in the garden is really a plus.

A beautiful old house that is not yet completely renovated. The house exudes a great charm, even if the internet and electricity are not quite stable. We felt very comfortable!!

We had a really lovely stay at the house. The poolside and the view are awesome and Marco was super nice. I absolutely recommend to do the wine tasting with dinner!

This villa is a gem, pictures don’t do it justice. The views are absolutely breathtaking….The house is fully equipped with everything we needed. We managed a trip to Florence and surrounding beaches which was recommended by the host. We could have stayed longer. I would definitely be back. My kids loved the pool and the little surrounding walking trials surrounding the villa. Only 1 hours drive from Pisa airport.

Daniele's house was perfect for 9: very well equipped, plenty of bathrooms, kitchen lacking nothing… The exterior of the house has a lot of charm: the view from the terrace and the infinity pool is magnificent, the barbecue area is very nice. I really recommend the place for its calm and comfort. The highlight of the whole is surely Daniele himself, a superhost among superhosts, who really spoiled us with lots of nice touches and who is really very friendly. In short, a great place to visit Lucca, Florence and the surrounding area. Thanks again to Daniele and looking forward to seeing you again!

Diletta was a great host. We sometimes had a bit of difficulty understanding the translated instructions from Italian to English. But she was always responding instantly with any questions we had. We loved her place! The most wonderful ambience, with fantastic views, and a very energetic climb up many stairs to arrive at a beautiful apartment.

We spent a few days here for New Year's, and it was absolutely wonderful. The place is cozy and beautifully furnished, surrounded by nature, which made it the perfect retreat for a relaxing holiday. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail in the decor. We can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor pool and the gorgeous outdoor space to its fullest. Highly recommended!

Well - what a tremendous and charming villa plus superb location. Our two families really loved our week with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their chosen activity: top pool and loungers, hip bar, lots of games available, pizza oven and bbq proved a success, lush mountain views at the breakfast table and shady and fragrant lunches underneath a arbor of jasmine. Loris our caretaker was very hands on, responsive, helpful and made the best tiramisu! We were very sad to leave! Would recommend: a trip to see the marble quarries, Pietrasanta and the Cinqueterra - all within 50minutes drive of the Licciana Nardi. Famille Hickeys and Chiaruccis.

From the opening of the gates & the warm welcome from Suran we knew this place was going to be special. As you open each door every room has a wow factor, but then you go onto the terrace and have a 360 degree view which can only be described as meravigilioso. It really is peaceful and beautiful. We was a family of 8 & the villa catered for our every need & more. The interior is tastefully decorated yet feels like home. The swimming pool was an added bonus and set in beautiful grounds. Federico was always communicative and available. His recommendations of wineries and restaurants were well received. It may be difficult to leave the villa but the local area is great to explore either by car bike or walking. There is only one negative.......you will have to prepare your heart to leave! We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Ulqini. Our host Paul met us at a time that suited us to let us into the property. Everything was as described and we had everything we needed. We were a family of 13 and had plenty of space. The highlight was the pool which we made the most of every day. We enjoyed walking over the bridge into Chifenti for icecream, pastries and dinner. The supermarket was very close and only a short drive away. The location was perfect, less than an hour from Pisa airport and ideal for visiting the leaning tower using the park and ride. We were also less than 2 hours from Florence (again advise the park and ride), and close to Bagni de Lucca train station for the train to Lucca. We hope to return again.

sanda's house is really interesting with ample space and very comfortable. the house is dated, but it contains very nice vintage elements. There's nothing missing, and the pool and outdoor space are great. Sanda was very kind and helpful.

Franco is a super great host, the welcome and farewell were very personal and warm. Franco has very good tips and is always helpful. The location of the house is magnificent between many olive trees, quietly located with a fantastic view over the Magra Valley to the sea, simply priceless. The location of the house is great, right next to the beautiful picturesque old village of Castelnuovo Magra. The sea is only about 15min away, the quarries of Carrara are also nearby (highly recommended), Pisa and Florence as well as Cinque Terre are also in the area. It was a great vacation, thank you Franco.

We had a great week with 8 adults as a family. The house is very well equipped, superb swimming pool, very nice pool house. We were able to enjoy the barbecue and pizza oven. We enjoyed the area by visiting Plaisance, Parma and Modena and of course Castell'Arquato nearby not to be missed!

The pictures do not do this location justice! The view from the outdoor table, pool, and many balconies is unbelievable. The house is nestled in a very quiet, secluded spot and is perfect for relaxing. Kitchen is fully equipped, beds are comfortable. Marius is the most helpful, responsive host, helping us with any questions we had and providing excellent local recommendations. We didn’t want to leave!

Fabrizio's house is fantastic. It is located in a typical Italian countryside environment. The view is great, the pool is wonderful, huge terraces ensured undisturbed conversations. The house is very well equipped and luckily there is air conditioning everywhere. Fabrizio is a super host and his house is ideal for larger families or groups of friends who want to relax.

We couldn’t believe our luck, when we arrived at Lo Scopeto. Such a beautiful place. The views, the pool and the house. The house is even more spacious and pretty than on the photos. It’s clear that this is more than a rental. The fact that the owners use the house themselves means that they have thought of everything to make you feel welcome and entertained; a fully stocked library, comfortable beds, lots of kitchen utensils (not a given with airbnb rentals) and spot-on recommendations for the area. We loved our stay here and warmly recommend it!
