Amazing house! Perfectly equipped and great outdoor space with breathtaking view on the river

My family and I (wife and two kids (13 and 16) spent three days over Chistmas at the house. it was the absolute perfect place to spend the holidays. The house is very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and was perfect for us to prepare the full Véspera and Christmas Day meals. There is even a local bread delivery service and the legendary Sera da.estrela mountain cheese made from local sheep available close by. Loriga is a beautiful mountain town and should not to be missed. From the beginning Senhor Tiago was extremely helpful and friendly. We are so grateful to have been able to spend our Christmas in such a fantastic location. We can't recommend this house more highly!!!!

One of the best Airbnb experiences we've ever had, everything was sensational since our arrival with the lady who was cleaning, super polite and helpful! João is always ready to respond! Impeccable nature, it's really a privilege to spend a few days in this house! Just thank God for giving us 🙏

We are very happy with the accommodation! From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, everything contributed to a comfortable and peaceful stay. The space is cozy, larger than we thought, well maintained and with a wonderful view, ideal for relaxing after a day full of adventures. An experience we certainly want to repeat! 🏡✨

We were 3 families, 6 adults and 6 children, and I have to say that the house is spacious, clean and modern. It's one of the few houses that the photos don't do justice, it's much better when you arrive. Jose was very friendly when we entered, he showed us around and explained all the features of the house, and when we left he was very friendly. I really recommend it 100%. We even had a Christmas tree, a nice touch, and the pool was super clean, although we didn't swim, and there's a barbecue.

i can't think of a better place to stay if you are looking for a place to stay with such a large group. I can't think of any criticism. This listing exceeds all expectations in every way. I can recommend this accommodation to everyone if you want to stay with a large group.

our stay at Ana's was lovely! She welcomed us warmly and explained everything well. we received a welcome gift. Ana responded immediately to our questions. The house is beautiful and very quiet. Beautiful sunset to see! lovely swimming pool. all rooms are beautifully and practically furnished. And have a private bathroom with everything. The terrace has several seats. The kitchen is fully equipped. In short, enjoyed very much. Enough room to park your car.

Great space, with all the details well thought out.

Casa located in a quiet place ideal for a group or family vacation. All rooms are suites, which is a bright spot for bathroom privacy. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need at the level of appliances (toaster, coffee machine (delta), microwave, dishwasher) as well as dishwasher for a group of 10 people. The whole decoration is very beautiful and thought out. Outside spaces are large and well arranged, the space for the barbecue is impeccable. It is undoubtedly a place to visit again!

The house is super well equipped and cared for. All rooms (the 8) have a toilet. Luisa is super nice and let us check out a little later. The only negative point was the pool being shared with the other house, otherwise everything was perfect :)

It is a house with beautiful and peaceful decor, ideal for relaxing and enjoying good times together. It allowed us to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have a good rest. What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

This may be the most beautiful Airbnb I've ever stayed in. My wife and I spent the days here to our wedding in Coimbra with our family and it was great! Optimal privacy for anyone staying there and at the same time a cozy shared space. Highly recommended!

we had a very pleasant week in this quiet house with very beautiful landscapes. the pool nearby refreshed us well and made the children happy. the house is typical and nice the outdoor shower is very nice in summer. Teresa is a very nice person and very available.

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

if I had to find a downside to this stay, it would be the mosquitoes. The rest was all great. The host was super friendly, attentive and recommended many places. The house, besides being beautiful and very clean, was also full of things at our disposal. We have been to many accommodations and from several different countries, and we have never seen anything as complete and welcoming as this place. I recommend it 100%, the price is a bit expensive but when we arrived I understood that it was totally worth it. our little dog also liked it a lot :)

Beautiful view. Bring groceries so you can stay at house and enjoy the view and pool. Take your time driving the roads. All roads have amazing views and lush surroundings.

Great house for groups of friends! A wonderful room near the pool and well equipped where we had meals, the pool was well maintained and a barbecue was available. Clean house and the host is always available for any questions. We were 8 adults and 3 babies and we really enjoyed it.

Steven was a perfect host and very attentive to our comfort in his beautiful family property. We immediately felt at home. The outdoor space is large, well arranged and pleasant. We had a wonderful stay at Vania’s house in Murtosa. The property is beautifully designed, with a charming mix of traditional and modern touches throughout the interior. Everything was spotless, and the bathrooms were particularly impressive—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Privacy was a highlight—this is a fully enclosed space, which made it feel like our own little retreat. The large carport was a bonus, keeping our vehicle secure .The area itself felt very safe and peaceful, with birds soaring overhead throughout the day, adding to the sense of calm. The outdoor BBQ area was a favorite spot, especially in the late afternoon when it caught the last warm rays of sun. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. Vania was a fantastic host—friendly, proactive, and clearly committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, private getaway in a beautiful setting.
