This place is special. The perfect remote getaway to disconnect, breathe fresh air, listen to the quiet, and reconnect with nature. Adorable boat house - woke up with a fire going looking out at a snow covered lake. Hard to not come back to reality feeling more centered and at peace after a weekend here. Can’t wait to come back.

This was our second stay at the Stuga. Last time was in May so we wanted to come back in the winter for some snow fun. Did some sledding at the house and some snowshoeing at Barr Hill Nature Preserve just up the street. A lot of fun and beautiful as always. Nancy and Bob are great hosts, always responsive. Will be back!

Great place We had a great time taking my father in his 80th year back to the place we made memories in my childhood. Would gladly stay at Dave’s place again.

Quant cozy cottage rich with local Vermont history, artisan crafted fireplace, tastefully decorated, and uniquely situated in picturesque mountains of Vermont. Although we were there in rainy misty weather, the Mountain View’s were spectacular. I would love to come back in the fall or snow season for Mountain View’s! Great host

Darren is a great host, and this is a great place! He had plenty of great recommendations in the area, so we always had something to do. The lake itself is super pretty and very tranquil. Would highly recommend!

Would happily go back here. Clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were super comfy. House was warm and inviting. Beautiful location and perfect for going hiking. Cute little towns to visit nearby. Absolutely loved it.

This was an amazing place to stay while enjoying the fall weather in Vermont. The location was very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees and across the road from the Connecticut River. Waterford itself doesn’t have much going on (which I liked!) but St. Johnsbury and Littleton are within 15-20min and have everything you need. The house was beautifully updated with all amenities needed for a comfortable autumn week, including a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry machines, fireplace, and a lovely screened porch + front deck to enjoy the weather. The bedrooms were comfortable and bright, I’d recommend bringing an eye mask since the windows didn’t have curtains. I loved the member-only area - it was worth the extra cost for the river access with private beach and boats/SUPs. I only went on my final day, but I wish I had spent every evening down on the dock by the river to watch the sunset! Overall I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quiet

Staying at this cabin was truly wonderful! We had an excellent time taking in the beautiful views, and our rescue pup certainly loved looking out the big window in the living room! If you are looking to feel cozy, right at home, and surround yourself in nature this is definitely the place for you. Kevin is an incredibly gracious host, they even coordinated plowing the driveway when we were hit by a winter storm warning (prior to receiving any request from us!). Their guide book of recommendations was also lovely and thoughtful of anything we might need during our stay. We would absolutely come back to this cabin and cannot recommend it enough!

we enjoyed our stay large area plenty of parking I had my snowmobile trailer in tow. very clean beautiful area exactly what my wife and I needed for the weekend. was kinda cold but that's what you get in northern Vermont in the winter. the sunrise was beautiful looking out of the bedroom window. we'll be back
