Monthly Rentals in Cairns Reef

This unit was perfect for us to stay for a couple of nights. The beachy vibe was gorgeous and Melissa responded promptly and was super helpful. The price was also fantastic. We’ll be staying here again :)

This place is beautiful, both the home and the area. Loved the walk down to the waterfall. The only negative was we lost power due to lack of sun for several days (home is off the grid and relies on solar). Host was very responsive even late in the evening and did everything possible to make us comfortable. Highly recommended.

The Garden Cottage at Sayah and Peter's place is attached to their house but, at the same time, very private with separate entrances and surrounded by their lush garden. The bed was very comfy and the shower was good. Everything was tastefully decorated and the kitchen was very well equipped, the best we'd come across on this trip - it also had an excellent L'Or coffee machine! Peter and Sayah were very good hosts with lots of information about - and enthusiasm for - Cooktown, which truly exceeded our expectations as a destination. We had been meaning to go to Cooktown for years, but had never heard anything compelling to make us go, but we were very impressed. The drive from Mount Molloy to Cooktown is one of the most scenic and spectacular we have been on in this part of Queensland, and the road the best, with little traffic.

Me, my partner and her mom had an amazing experience here! We were so happy to see the Cassowari and its chick that seems to live around here twice during our 6 nights stay!! Both times were at around 7am, when it was still pretty cool. Furthermore the view is even better than it looked like in the pictures, absolutely beautiful, we never thought we could afford to stay at a place with such a view! We often ate breakfast looking over the rainforest. Also it was more comfortable than expected, considering its in the jungle, running on solar power and rainwater. We did plenty of laundry and used the shower without needing to use the generator, because it was sunny a lot, I guess. We were a bit scared of the wild pigs, however didn't encounter any. We were also able to harvest fresh lime, some apple like fruit and breadfruit that we couldn't manage to prepare, but still it was fun to explore the area. Lastly, Katja was very responsive and even kind. Amazing stay! Definitely recommend! :)
