Property is located on 36 acres, owner lives on site in a separate house with her 3 dogs, 1 exceptionally lazy cat and 4 rogue chickens (they may all come visit you!). Grounds have ancient apple trees, loads of perennial gardens with more in progress, berries and an organic vegetable garden that we would love to share from if desired. We loved this place! We were renting for our daughter’s college graduation, and even though it poured all weekend- we really enjoyed just hanging out at the house. Mostly I loved loved the king size bed and I’m going to ask where the owner got it - slept like a baby!

If you're looking for a beautiful rustic place to stay in Maine and get away from the city and its light pollution, I highly recommend Stephanie's listing! Being surrounded by trees, the sounds of farm animals, and the stars at night was so lovely. Stephanie was friendly and also prompt with replying. I would definitely stay here again if I came back up to Maine, esp at the price point.

Countryside Oasis: Charming 1BR Farmhouse Getaway

Very clean and great location. Close to the airport and a short drive to the highway to get wherever you're going. Tucked away just outside of Portland, Westbrook, and downtown Gorham with lots of convenient options for restaurants, groceries, gas, coffee, and even local farms. The two units above the barn share walls, but we never heard the other guests during our stay. There was mild noise from the road and planes (due to proximity to the airport and landing patterns) but nothing white noise won't block out from a fan or music streaming app. After a while we didn't even notice it. Jessica was super quick with her responses and I would definitely stay here again!
