Really helpful host and lovely location!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

We had such a lovely long weekend with our grown up children. The cottage was so relaxing . Lovely private grounds. Short walk to two private beaches . We really enjoyed having the optional hot tub and sauna . We played games in the garden , visited some lovely walks. A very chilled place. Ruth and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

We had the best stay! Lisa’s home is beautiful and cosy. We felt relaxed as soon as we stepped in. Lisa was extremely thoughtful to have left us a welcome gift for us and our dogs The dogs loved the blankets provided and the extra treats The beds were so comfortable and clean. Everything was spotless Lisa was kind enough to offer an earlier check in on the day. We climbed Scaffell pike and went to Seascale Beach. It was a perfect stay with family Would hugely recommend !!

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was easy to find and accessible. Easy to get in and parking up the road was no problem. Albeit not alot of street parking when we stayed. The cottage was clean and cosy and well placed in the town for shops, pubs and places to eat. All in all a great stay. Thank you

We arrived at Hylands for our stay at La’al cottage. It was exactly as you can see in the pictures a true reflection. The grounds are absolutely stunning private and we enjoyed a fire pit which was spectacular listening to birds and owls. Cottage is cosy and welcoming and we had a great stay thank you Emma and Craig. We loved it and will be back

Absolutely beautiful cottage, the photos don't do this place justice! the interior has been throughly thought about and matches the cosy countryside vibes perfectly. Check in was easy, and the location being a short walk to Windermere was great. The home made brownies were a lovely touch too. We'll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage on Wastwater. The setting is stunning — right on the lake and surrounded by beautiful walking routes, perfect for exploring with our 18-month-old and dog. The cottage is tucked away on a peaceful farm with a great outdoor seating area to enjoy the views. It’s quite remote, with the nearest proper shop about 30 minutes away, but the nearby campsite shop (just half a mile down the road) had the essentials we needed. Other than that, everything was perfect. A truly relaxing break in a beautiful location — we’d definitely recommend it!

The cottage was exactly what was listed and what we were looking for. The Host was always responsive and friendly with many helpful details. The cottage is cosy and in beautiful surroundings with friendly neighbours. It also is well equipped for short or long stays. We will definitely recommend and hopefully come back soon! Thank you

Incredible location, easy parking, modern, clean and free of clutter. Comfy beds and a great shower. Made a 5 day stay really comfortable.

Our second stay in Ridgeway Cottage; we love the stunning views from the huge picture windows and the convenient location for exploring the Lakes. We may be back again!

Lovely, cosy cottage. Very warm, despite the inclement weather. Under floor heating was lovely! We lit a fire one evening, although we didn't really need it, and it was great!

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s - four adults, two under one year olds and a dog! The bedrooms have plenty of room for travel cots and were clean, comfortable and cosy. The garden is stunning and sitting in the little garden hut looking over the mountains around was a great way to start the day. The kitchen is well equipped and in great condition. The shower is really good and Lisa provides basic bathroom items incase you forget any essentials which is a lovely touch. The living space is stunning - plenty of space for the babies to roll around on the floor whilst being contained! The views from the windows are gorgeous. Lisa was very responsive during our stay when we had a couple of queries. Highly recommend!

sinead and Q made us feel very welcome. The house was spotlessly clean, everything was provided that we would need for our stay. I would definitely recommend this house, very peaceful with a beautiful garden and a beck running through it.

We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. We had a wonderful stay at Jennies place, beautiful surroundings and private places to sit and enjoy the view. It’s a very cosy cottage, you instantly feel at home when you walk through the door. Plenty of space for everyone(4adults,3 children) and well equipped. We loved the location as you could take a lovely valley walk up to the local pub and also enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of a town centre. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!

One can see a lot of thought has gone into providing a well appointed residence. The location is excellent and Stuart's place has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay and we would gladly return.

Such a fun stay in The Wash House, Ambleside. Could not be more central to the Town, and yet it was peaceful and quiet. Compact but well appointed, had everything we needed. Fantastic. :)

We had a fantastic stay at Knott's View; the cottage was lovely, the garden a sun trap, and the surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed lots of walks straight from the door - so many loops, including Gowbarrow Fell with amazing views of Ullswater and then back through Aira Force waterfalls late one sunny evening. The pub opposite is good for a pint and pub food, and we visited Keswick (great tapas restaurant) and Pooley Bridge too, as well as Grenridding - all 10 to 20 min drive. Chris and Ruth were really helpful throughout.

Booked to stay in this lovely cottage for 4 nights for a birthday trip with family and my dog, the views from the house were breathtaking surrounded by mountains, wildlife and farm animals and the cottage itself was so spacious yet perfectly cosy at the same time. There were lovely walking trails all around with some great recommendations from our host of places to sightsee and eat and drink (we highly recommend the toasties from the Flock In tea room!). All in all a great time was had and we would definitely return.
