From here you have access to countless hiking and biking trails in the beautiful Bergisches Land. Despite the quiet location, you can reach Remscheid city center by car in 10 minutes. Located between the cities of Cologne (45 km) and Düsseldorf (40 km), near Solingen and Wuppertal, the apartment is perfect if you are traveling professionally and prefer to live a little quieter.

Note: There is no kitchen, which makes the space perfect for short stays. A microwave is available in the room. The stairwell is shared with other apartments, the entire attic floor is private for your stay.

Short stays up to 6 persons, in general up to 4 persons, also with children. Ideal for Cologne City and Cologne trade fair visits. Car 20 min, bus / train 50 min. Sauna Mediterana, Hotel Schloss Bensberg, Naturarena Bergisches Land, hiking, biking. Village Herkenrath with super market, fast food, restaurants 11, bus stop 4 min to walk. No breakfast.

Modern apartment between Düsseldorf and Cologne

You would live in the small village called “Meigen”. It is very close to the city centre of Solingen. The drive to the city centre is about 5 min. with the car and 10 with the bus. You can park your car almost in front of the apartment. The train station „SG-Mitte“ is also very close. By foot you will need around 20 minutes, with the car only 5 minutes. If you want to ride to Düsseldorf or Cologne you can easily take the train (30-40 min.) or your car (same time), perfect for fairgoers.

Detached, solidly built bungalow, 44 m², 2 rooms, kitchen, bathroom and small garden with terrace and barbecue. Bedroom with double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) and large wardrobe, living room with pull-out sofa bed as additional sleeping accommodation for max. 2 persons. The bathroom and kitchen were completely renovated in January and February 2026. As a welcome gift, you will find 1 bottle of cola, 1 bottle of water and 1 bottle of our local beer (Kölsch) per adult in the refrigerator.

The completely renovated Degenfabrik offers you an ambience that makes time run a little slower. Parking is available, 10 to 15 minutes to the city, various restaurants and shops, regional train connection. The sports facility is behind the house. In the same building we run an art gallery that can be visited.

The apartment was newly furnished in the fall of 2021. It is bright and friendly and has its own entrance and its own small terrace. It is located in an idyllic district with half-timbered houses and is close to the center of Leichlingen. Leichlingen is a small town on the edge of the Bergisches Land and easily accessible from Cologne, Düsseldorf and Wuppertal. Bicycles and a parking space can be used. Contactless check-in is also possible.
