As night fell, the stars above were like nothing we’ve ever seen – the Karoo sky was filled with a brilliance that made the world feel still and timeless. What a treat it was to stay in the “honeymoon suite” rondawel! Lynette does a fantastic job running the place and took time for a good chat on our arrival, which was great. We had requested dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the most delicious lamb curry! The breakfast was wonderful too! Thanks so much for a 5-star stay, Lynette! 🥰

If you're looking for a peaceful and serene place to stay with a proper farm house experience and like to see the stars at night, you can't go wrong! This is my new halfway to the coast for sure.

If you are looking to disconnect with real life and connect with nature then this is the place to go! We had a lovely stay at River Lodge at Karoo Ridge Conservancy. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and considerate with providing a camping cot and feeding chair for our baby and a net over the pool. Everything you need is there. We also did some of the hikes from the River Lodge and went for a great game drive with sundowners. Our dogs enjoyed the space as well. With no cell reception and WIFI at the lodge (only available at the reception shop), this is exactly what we need d for our breakaway. We will definitely visit again.

Very comfortable stay in a clean, modern, and spacious apartment for an overnight. Big thanks to Michelle for accommodating my late check-in and for the frequent comms leading up to the stay. Exceptional value for money and highly recommend!

I had never been to Bethulie before and it was a great place for a stayover on our way to PE. Lovely village with a lovely restaurant and Jacqueline and Jaco were fabulous hosts. Very welcoming and the cottage was exactly what we needed after the long drive. I'll stop by there again anyday.

This is a hidden gem within the Stormberg. It has all the amenities you can wish for as well as a beautiful view. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a large bathroom. Everything you need is there. Kim is definitely a superhost, communicating with us regularly before, during and after the visit and sent very good instructions to find the route to the cottage. We had milk, tea, coffee and lovely rusks waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage has a beautiful setting overlooking a dam and part of the mountain. We are not fishermen but enjoyed the scenery, the birding both on the farm and the adjacent farm roads. We spent a peaceful old (2021) and new year (2022) at the cottage with only the occasional bird checking in. This is definitely the place to go if you want to rest and enjoy nature. We took long walks on the farm but it definitely also has cycling possibilities. A place to add to your itinerary.

We loved our stay. It was exactly what we needed after a long drive. Karen & Stuart were extremely hospitable and even allowed our kids to use their private pool. We had a wonderful time!
