You can take a stroll to find shops, bars, pubs and restaurants & make your way to Sherwood Forest and visit the major oak, beautiful Sherwood forests art & craft centre shops or RSPB visitor centre. The river maun runs on the other side of the lane and you can cross the river by bridge and also walk across the fields to the forest.
