Monthly Rentals in Brookside

The loft on Hatchet Lake was perfect for my six-week stay as a solo traveler. This well-appointed one-room loft, situated above a garage, is part of a small community of six cabins. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. The Wi-Fi is excellent, making it ideal for remote work. Hatchet Lake is right in front of the loft and perfect for swimming. The shower is a bit snug for larger people, but the water pressure is great. Thanks, Mike! I really enjoyed my stay.

Chris is a friendly and accommodating host. Communications were excellent. The little bouquet of flowers over the sink was a nice touch. The accommodation is very well equipped, and has a personal touch. You feel like you are staying where someone actually lives comfortably (and where you can be comfortable during your stay). The kitchen has not only a full array of the equipment needed to prepare meals but also a broad supply of basic foodstuffs which Chris generously makes available to her guests. Halifax has plenty of restaurants, which we enjoyed, but just as often we enjoyed our home cooked meals at Chris's place. Chris's place is very convenient. A bus line stops just outside the house and driving to almost anywhere in the Halifax area is easy. And in Halifax, having reserved parking is a real perk.

I stayed at Lindsay & Steve’s place as I was in town for a cheer competition that was just 12 min away. I met both of them and they were so kind and friendly! I’d definitely stay there again! My dog Lola loved the walks and the park near by so much investigating to do! I felt just like at home. The area is very quiet and close to restaurants and shops 6 min drive. They left very clear house rules that were easy to follow. I appreciated my stay as they made me feel at ease stress free. I highly recommend !!!! Staying there made me want to move from Quebec to the maritimes! Thank you so much !
