The accommodation is also located in the heart of a red fruit orchard (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc.). Le Verger de La Croix is open for pick-your-own from mid-May to the end of August (more details on the website: vergerdelacroix). Many hiking trails are accessible from the property.

Fantastic base to explore the Loire Valley, and the surrounding forests and lakes of Salbris, including the beautiful city of Orleans. The château itself is full of history, and Celine and Stefan's apartment is very tastefully and historically restored... Stefan kindly gave me a tour of the castle. There are some stunning hikes near the château and even within the grounds of the château, as well as swimming in the river and many lakes. Overall a very memorable experience...

Beautiful property, quiet and in a beautiful setting. We were lucky with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the exteriors, very peaceful. The house is also very charming, clean and above all well-equipped The interactions were friendly and more than responsive! We had a lovely weekend there and would recommend it without hesitation!
