Cottage vacation rentals in Brighton

Everything about this cottage is perfect. The host thoughtfully provided everything for a great stay. The kitchen is fully equipped—just bring your food. Views from the living room and bedrooms are breathtaking, overlooking the lake with beach-like waves. If it rains, you have board games, vinyls, video games, and a big TV with streaming services by a cozy fireplace and charming decor. Outside, the beach is right by the deck—perfect for morning coffee and peaceful moments. There’s a spa, BBQ, and a fire pit for romantic sunsets. Kayaks are available in the basement; bring your fishing gear (and permit). This is our favorite place so far. It’s walking distance to a waterfront trail and Presqu’ile Park amazing hiking trails, places to picnic, etc by the lake. You’re close to shops and great diners like Counter in Trenton and Whistling Duck in Brighton. This last-minute trip turned into an amazing find. Huge thanks to Jess, our host! We can’t wait to be back.

Beautiful cottage, amazing waterfront. We spent so much time enjoying the outside using the kayaks and canoes, BBQ, hot tub and firepit. Jordan was a wonderful host with quick communication. Definitely would stay here again

The place itself is beautiful, has a lot amenities and it’s super cozy. Beds are very comfortable and every space clean and well taken care of. Definitely recommended.

It's a very cute and peaceful place to stay. It's surrounded by lots of foliage to ensure privacy, and I love all the small touches around the place. I would definitely love to come back in the summertime to experience all the trails and conservation areas.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rebecca's beautiful lakeside retreat! She is very understanding and felxible and responsive. Everything was clean at the place and thoughtfully prepared The canoes provided were perfect for peaceful paddles around the lake, and the cozy fireplace made evening so relaxing and special. If you're looking for a perfect escape surrounded by nature and tranquility, this is the place. I can't wait come back!

absolutely picture perfect cottage right on the lake. lots of bedrooms and living room space. couldn't ask for a better view from the hot tub. Heather was provided all the details to ensure check-in was smooth. Everything was organized and labeled so we didn't feel intimidated by the size of the place and was able to feel at home from the 1st day. we didn't bring our kids this time but would love to come back with little ones as there are gates to the deck/hot tub area + everything kids would need already in the house.

Probably the best AirBNB we have ever stayed . A gem of a place to spend some quality time with family and friends amidst nature. We will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend it to others ! Thanks

We spent New Year’s at Leah’s place, and it was absolutely amazing. Her guest house is so cozy, and she’s an incredible hostess. Not to mention, her place is dog-friendly, which made it even better! It was such a memorable way to ring in the new year.

We had a lovely stay at the Willow cottage. The lake is beautiful and the property is gorgeous! Jeff brought us whatever we needed. Would highly recommend this cottage. The space is great for 2 families to share, kitchen is fully equipped, unlike other Airbnbs we have rented. Thank you for hosting us and our USA friends.

We had a perfect winter getaway and would be back anytime. The description and pictures shown are accurate, it’s actually more beautiful in person. Loved how well-equipped the place is. From everything you might need in the kitchen&bathroom to the beautiful and thoughtful touches like the inside swing and the coffee table books, games, movies, an array of pillows and blankets to choose from and comfy beds. This place felt like home as soon as we walked in. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful and feels private even with the neighbouring houses. The sauna is breathtaking and a luxurious addition. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Caroline was so kind and responsive and graciously extended help during a bad ice storm that happened during our stay. We would come back, 10/10. Thank you for a memorable stay.

This place is such a gem. Attention to detail and comfort was incredible. Our girls’ weekend was perfection. The sauna is a must, the view from the hot tub is gorgeous (even in an icestorm), the pottery for coffee was stunning, the beds were soooo comfortable, loads of towels for all of our spa activities, heated floors and a stellar Woodstove. The only problem is that with all of these amenities, you don’t want to leave to explore the area… that’s why next time we will book a longer stay! Thank you Ken and Rachel for this little slice of heaven.

South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!

Our stay was perfect, chalet had everything you could ask for and more! We stayed for work so we didn’t get a chance to go to the beach, or play any of the ample board games, but the kitchen was wonderfully stocked and the shower had great water pressure! Could not have asked for a better stay!

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! The space was even better than the photos - bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed with everything you could need for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect, peaceful and private, making it a great spot to relax and spend quality time with loved ones. Once again we had a great stay! This was our second year staying at Kunals' place and it was just as we expected. Kunal went above and beyond to accomodate us. Unfortunately a wk. before, due to a bad storm, the liner of the pool was damaged so the pool was inoperable. This is one of the main highlights of Kunals' place for us so it was a little disheartening because we were there for 8 days...HOWEVER, once again Kunal came through!! He purchased an 18ft back up pool and had it assembled and ready to go for our arrival so that we could still enjoy a pool!! My sister and I had a great time, enjoyed the peace and quiet and would stay at Kunals place over an all inclusive Carribbean trip anyday! House was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed. Kunal gave us late checkout which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be doing an extended stay next summer and are so looking forward to it! Thanks Kunal, you are a great host and we thank you for being so accomodating!!

Mihaela's cottage was a lovely little place surrounded by trees. Despite its location deep down the cottage roads, it took less than 15 minutes to drive wherever we needed to go (Buckhorn, Bobcaygeon, Kawartha Highlands Signature Park). The cottage itself was comfortable and clean, but we especially enjoyed the lovely firepit and jacuzzi 😄 Mihaela was also a responsive and understanding host, leaving plenty of clear instructions and responding to questions in record time. Overall we had a great stay and I would happily recommend this cottage to others!

We had a totally wonderful long weekend getaway at Jeff & Karen's cottage. The communication with our hosts was perfect from the time of booking until our checkout. When we arrived, we were thrilled to find that the place was even more beautiful than the pictures. The views overlooking Lazy River, the living room area and the kitchen was our favorite, but everything else was impeccable as well. The beds were comfy, the entire cottage was very clean and we found everything we needed under our hands. What we all loved most about the cottage was its character and the little details that showed that the hosts truly cared about the place. The bedroom colors, living room decorations where all those colors came together in the cushions, ornaments etc. was so clever and elegant. The vinyl collection, the guitar and the board games added a nice touch to our stay. We were also fortunate to do some canoeing in the river to enjoy the tranquility. What more can I say, we'd love to come back soon!

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property, has everything you need. We stayed the week of valentines and couldn’t have asked for more. I could only imagine how perfect it would be in the summer with the water sports and many other amenities this property offers. Erika and Adam were kind and responsive and helped us with all our needs!! Definitely would go again.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay during the last week of August! Some of our favourite parts of the place include: the canoes/kayaks that were available to use at our leisure, the check-in process being seamless, the essentials being provided (all kitchen supplies, beach towels, shower supplies), the other amenities (board games, BBQ). The place itself is quite beautiful. The dock with the chairs, the fire pit (even though we did not use) and the solarium were all stunning. I would just mention that it is a bit smaller of a place inside, so did find it a bit cozy and tight in the rooms. Also, the place is supplied with quite a loud window AC so sometimes it would get a bit loud/warm in the place. However, we would still give the place a 5/5 all things considered.
