Perfect place to stay for a family with young children. Very hospitable and helpful hosts. Our highlights were the waterfalls walks, the National Showcaves Centre, Techniquest in Cardiff and climbing Pen Y Fan. Lovely house, great location.

What a lovely little country retreat, peaceful and restful yet with plenty to do on your doorstep. The walk to the country pub, through the village was a highlight. The kids loved the horses, rope swing and of course jacuzzi. We will definitely stay again.

It was an idyllic getaway in a lovely cottage surrounded by the beautiful Welsh countryside. It was lovely to meet one of the owners Rachel but it was a very private friendly accommodation.

Firstly, our host was very responsive and friendly and even checked in after our first night to see if we needed anything! The bungalow was beautiful and homely and the location couldn’t have been much better with the town a 5 minute drive away and a lovely park 5 minutes in the opposite direction! The board games, blankets and tea and coffee were lovely extra touches that made it homely! The cinema room is great and so cosy. The only thing that didn’t meet our expectation was the hot tub because it’s in a pergola that needs some tlc and only one of the jets seemed to work! (Maybe it was just us not working it properly!) it also wasn’t very hot. But either way we loved our stay and it was only 15 minutes from zip world which is what we travelled for! Thanks for having us! :)

Historic Farmhouse For Groups Celebrations Hot Tub

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful stay! We went for a walk up Pen Pych which had incredible views and was minutes away from the house. The house itself is gorgeous- loads of space. We had great weather so ate lunch in the garden and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of parking, everything you could need available. Host was responsive and gave some great recommendations. I would advise that the top beds are very close to the ceiling so we opted for the sofa beds but there were plenty of comfortable options and the rooms are very spacious. Loved the quirky vibe- you can tell it was a labour of love. Would definitely visit again!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were so lucky to have the waterfalls right on our doorstep! It was a really beautiful location. The beds were super comfy (no cheap mattresses with mattress toppers here), the place was warm and there was ample hot water. The garden was a wonderful bonus too. Cannot fault it!

Railway Cottage

JackRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely little cottage attached to the host’s house in Taff’s Well- great location for getting into Cardiff. Felt very comfortable- yes it is next to the railway but the trains rush by in a flash and the bedroom’s on the furthest side of the property away from the tracks, so you don’t really notice it and it didn’t stop us getting to sleep. Robert was really responsive and very welcoming- we’d definitely consider staying again!

Flat with view of lighthouse, garden and drive

Wonderful stay - would highly recommend. I had a fantastic time staying here. The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect, and Michelle was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth, and the little touches (like the guide to the local area and warm welcome) made it feel like a home away from home. I’d definitely book again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Award-winning cottage set in private woodland

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a lovely place to stay! It’s very homely, and there’s a lot of essentials provided that aren’t always there with many of the other places we have stayed - sugar, coffee, anti-bac spray and even a pint of milk! The bathrooms are spacious with warm underfloor heating, the beds are comfortable and towels nice and soft. Everything is spotlessly clean too. Location was perfect for our weekend, we spent a lot of time exploring and then came back and lit the wood burner for a cosy night in. Kids loved the outdoors and our dog was at home sniffing around the woodland in the morning. Thanks for a great stay!

Tyn Cellar Cottage - 2 bedroom self catering

This is now the 2nd time that I’ve stayed at Phillips’s place, both this time and the first I’ve found the the location to be great, the property to be clean and comfortable and Phillip is a great host, no issues with communication leading up to it during the stay. The property is located in a wonderful rural location, if you’re into cycling or long walks it is ideal, however still on a very short drive away from the local amenities or even Swansea. I would 100% recommend, and I will certainly stay again. Thanks

My wife and I stayed here with our 4yo son, just for two nights but we will be back. The little house is perfect for a small family, spotlessly clean with all modern facilities. The beach really is right outside the back gate, which is a truly wonderful expierence especially when staying with children. Catriona was a pefect host, all communication was very easy and the house is very easy to find. We had the most amazing fish and chips on the second night, and there are pubs, shops and wonderful beaches in walking distance. Very highly reccomended.
