Vacation rentals in Bridgefoot

It's difficult to say in a few words not only how good the property is but also the people renting it out. First up - the property was perfect. Compact, immaculate, modern, good location. Had everything I needed with a TV for chill time and a great internet connection for work etc. Shower was awesome, heating great, bed mega comfortable and I felt nice and cosy in there. So on to the host. Jen went the extra mile, seriously amazing host. I needed somewhere for the the before the property was available, I messaged her and she juggled things around and got the cleaners in to the property mega early and got a turnaround so I got the extra night. in addition to that she also held the booking open for longer if I needed it, not many folks would do that and I truly appreciate it. Bottom line folks - a good property is only as good as the host so together these made it a phenomal stay and exceptional value. Couldn't rate it any higher. Thanks Jen and team x

We absolutely loved our stay here and found it so convenient for all the places we wanted to visit (including Scafell pike!) The space was immaculate and had everything we needed for our trip. Helen was so easy to contact and so helpful with directions and suggestions of places to go. I’ve already recommended this to friends who want to visit the Lake District :)

We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. It is difficult to portray with words how outstanding this quirky accommodation is! We were looking forward to the novelty of staying in a train carriage but were not expecting such a high level of comfort, and really spacious living and dining areas, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The bed was one of the comfiest I have had in an air bnb and the shower was great! So many choices of places to sit and relax, with beautiful views from every window! The location was stunning, and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the river. We also loved sitting in the sun on the deck on the comfy outdoor setting. The train was so beautifully decorated, with quality and character filled furniture. There was everything you could possibly need for a stay, and we couldnt recommend Katie-Anne's property highly enough. Thanks for a holiday we will remember for a lifetime.

What an amazing place! Susan’s home was lovely and located on a beautiful dairy farm. We were immediately welcome by her cats Lucky and Clover (who we adopted for our stay). Susan was always available to answer our questions and took us on a tour of the farm to meet the cows. The house was about 7 minutes from a great village called cockermouth which had pubs, restaurants and many bakeries. A little further and you are in keswick which is one of the bigger towns. We took a boat from there across derwentwater to the famous Catbells and also took a rowboat out on the lake. We also went for a beautiful walk around buttermere lake and a hike into the borrowdale valley. And we even popped over the border into Scotland. It was an amazing trip and a wonderful place to stay. We've had a wonderful week long stay at La'al Cottage. Michael was a great host and communicated everything really well and gave recommendations of places to go locally that were dog friendly. The cottage itself is really cosy and equipped with everything we needed. Even the dogs were catered for with a little jar of dog treats and dog bowls which we thought was a lovely touch. It's in a great location too, central to everything in the town but tucked away off the road. We had no problem parking on the cobbled area throughout the week. I would definitely recommend the cottage and we will absolutely be back here for another visit! Thanks Michael!

The house was so beautiful inside and out with amazing views over the beach. Everything was clean and was exactly as Duncan described. We only stayed for a few days but it was exactly what we needed and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Lake District get away
