We couldn’t have had a more delightful stay. We had some significant airline delays which bumped our trip back a day. Slaven was very flexible and accommodating and was able to shift our stay accordingly. The apartment was beautiful and perfectly appointed. A fabulous location close to everything. Slaven had great recommendations for the city and we would absolutely stay again.

Marko's was the perfect luxury home away from home. The large computer monitor and hi-speed wi-fi enabled a great vacation work-space. High ceilings, and multiple large windows and patio-doors, added to the sense of spaciousness. Luxury bed linen, multiple pillows and a choice of summer/winter comforters ensured a great night's sleep. The spacious modern well-lit bathroom would rival that of a 5 star hotel. The fully equipped kitchen, in combination with the short walk to the daily (except Sunday) local market, enabled cooking with the beautiful fresh Croatian produce and dining out on the patio, if you felt like a change from the nearby restaurants. The privacy, garden and bird-song made it difficult to believe that the centre of Varazdin's Old Town was only a 5 minute walk away. PERFECT stay. BRILLIANT considerate host and bonus of English communication (sadly don't speak, understand or accurately pronounce Croatian). Looking forward to my return to Varazdin and Marko's.

I would stay here again and could not recommend this more! A great host and an amazing location with everything we needed to completely relax. I would also recommend the Lemon Tart from Cakes De Anamarie! This only made the stay even better :)

This place is a little piece of paradise nestled in the hills and forest. A short ride from the airport made this very accessible for us to spend time with our Croatian friends whilst enjoying our own space in beautiful surroundings. The house is very cosy with everything a family would need. Aircon in hot weather, the pool with amazing views, drawers packed with utensils and extras like salt, pepper, sugar, food bags, tinfoil etc which are so helpful when you arrive with nothing. The BBQ was used every day and we found a plentiful supply of wood. The eating area was also great and we really enjoyed every aspect of the property & swam every day. The fresh tomatoes and herbs were an added bonus and we used them most days in cooking. The property is very close to Hungarian and Slovenian borders so day trips were fantastic. Zarko was so helpful and it was a pleasure to meet him. We will definitely be back! Thankyou.

We had a great stay at this small, idyllically located cottage! The place was beautiful, perfectly equipped and absolutely clean. You can really see the attention to detail here. There was nothing missing, and the quiet in the area was perfect for taking relaxing walks. We were particularly impressed that even extra bowls and treats were provided for my dog – we really enjoyed that! It was also wonderful to watch the bees from the beehives on the property. A real highlight that made the stay even more special. The hosts were extremely friendly and provided us with all the necessary information. In addition, we were even allowed to check in a little earlier, which we greatly appreciated. The self-check-in went very smoothly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all it was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature – absolutely recommended!

We had a really good stay! The location is perfect, with an amazing view. Very cozy house, with everything you need, even a barbecue and a fire place! The cat was very sweet and cuddly! And the communication with the owners was perfect, they were super nice and helpful. We would surely recommend!:)

I wanted to share how truly wonderful our host Dora was during our stay. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that nothing was too much trouble for her. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, always with a warm smile and great attention to detail. Whether it was providing helpful local tips or quickly addressing any request, her hospitality made our experience unforgettable. We felt truly cared for, and it made all the difference in our stay!

We stayed only for a day and a half, unfortunately, so we did not get to fully enjoy it as it was intended to, but nevertheless we immediately felt at home. The place is really nice and cozy, and the fireplace really added to cozy feeling in the evenings. Mia and Gugo really paid attention to details and the practicality. Longer stay is not an issue because you would have anything you might need. The location is quiet, and there are only few houses around. If you need to get groceries or food, there are shops and food places in a near-by village, Marija Bistrica, only ~10 minutes by car. We were lucky to meet Mia and Gugo. Really great and welcoming, loved the chat with them, the recommendations, they are attentive but at the same time not intrusive... Thank you both for everything. Highly recommended!
