Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Boyle County

Our family was in the area for a swim meet and we could not have asked for a better stay. The place was clean, we'll, stocked and very comfortable. The host was very responsive. We highly recommend it.

This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. We had the most relaxing, peaceful trip. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was so cold we didn’t get to enjoy the many outdoor features of the property however the cozy fireplace was exactly what we needed. The couch is so comfortable perfect for winter afternoon naps. The bath and shower were so nice. The adjustable bed was an excellent touch. And the majestic river almost close enough to jump in was so peaceful to watch. Thank you so much! We plan to come back in the spring.

Great stay - easy check in and just as described!

Great place and location. We had a great time and house was what was expected and I would recommend. Only negative was the water pressure when taking a shower.

My husband and I and another couple stayed at The Blue Heron for a long weekend, hoping to get some golf in. Shelly was helpful prior to our arrival with grocery and dinner suggestions. We were able to find the place with no problems and had easy access to get in. Very quiet location. Did not see anyone the entire stay. The main house was the perfect size for 4 people. Living room/kitchen provided enough space for us all to be together. The deck would have be great space with the fire pit and outdoor seating. We just happened to come during a 4 day nonstop rain. Which did make for great sleeping. The boathouse provided space for the couple we came with. It had a queen bed, small sitting area bathroom and a great view. The main house had a great loft for the other bedroom. The bed and pillows were amazing. Although we did not get one round of golf in, we did find fun things to do in Lexington. It was very relaxing and we look forward to coming back when the weather is better/warmer.

Jeff’s place was perfect! Much more breath taking in person than the photos! Beds are soft, hot tub and tv outside were perfect! We will definitely be returning soon!

Our weekend had a record rainfall for the weekend and Harrison helped us with alternative ideas. We had a great time and the house was great for indoor fun. It is an easy drive to Bardstown and the Bardstown distilleries. We would highly recommend the Limestone Branch Distillery which is just 10 minutes from the house.

I’ve stayed at many Airbnb locations, even in many different countries and this one was even still in my top 5. This locations is very peaceful & sooo well put together. The hospitality in this house is really what makes it in my top 5. Yes it’s very cute & homey but the details Samantha has put into this house is what makes it whole! A whole closet full of high quality towels, high quality bath mat, a towel warmer, face cloths, qtips, every drinking glass you would really ever need I think I even seen a money gun in the closet with a few games ha she has a chamber of commence back ground so she gave such great detailed recommendations that make me want to come back, so with that being said we will be back 😌

I was in Danville for work and it was the perfect landing spot for a couple of nights. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and clean. Love the nod to horse racing and bourbon with the decor. Host was responsive and helpful.

this is a very nice place in old house but very thoughtfully remodeled parking was easy all in all a nice stay!

We were doing a bourbon tour in Frankfort, but wanted to focus more of our time exploring Harrodsburg and Shaker Village, so Sharon's place was in the perfect location for a quiet retreat with our little dog. We haven't lived in the country for years, so it was wonderful to view the Pink Moon with a beautiful sky full of stars, and enjoy the amazing sunrise the following morning. It was pretty chilly when we were there, but the electric fireplace was a wonderful addition. The lovely little bistro table outside is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee, or a glass of wine or bourbon in the evening. I highly recommend, but pay attention when navigating our Kentucky country roads, as some of them are pretty narrow. We hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

Great place to relax after a long day of sipping bourbon. Out in the country with great vistas of the farm land. The wrap around porch always offers a calm side from any wind. Enjoyed watching the long horns. Restaurants were a bit sparse in the area but we had no problem picking up groceries on the way back from bourbon tasting and then cooking a nice meal in the cabin.

Really enjoyed our stay it’s so quiet and relaxing having the lake a few steps away it’s really nice. The house has a very welcoming feeling it’s great. Anytime we’re back in the area we will definitely plan to stay at Josie’s.

John’s cabin was perfect for our family. It had more than we needed to make us feel right at home and live comfortably for a few days. We enjoyed the big porch and the beautiful, quiet scenery. This cabin is such a little hidden gem and we would love to stay again! If you have the chance to stay here then book this cabin!

In our opinion, the listing does not do the place justice. We had an amazing experience. Everything is SO clean. Our son loved the railroad lights. Beautiful setting. Amenities were great. Now, we’re trying to figure out when our family can come back!

The cabin was fantastic for our stay. Very clean and spacious home. We had no issues getting to and from with the single lane road, the area seems really low traffic. Scenery was beautiful, especially early morning. No noise, just the birds chirping.

We had a great stay, perfect for attending a wedding at a nearby venue. Would definitely stay again!
