great place for a family getaway, there were 11 of us so the games room and hot tub were prefect. close enough to Barnard castle to go out for dinner, beautiful surroundings, what's not to like

Lovely cosy house which was clean and tidy. This was our second stay at Homestead and we will be coming back.

The property and the location was absolutely amazing , me and my friends have made some amazing memories there. The property felt luxurious and there were soo many personalised gifts for us upon arrival which were much appreciated. the host was very responsive whenever we had any questions I would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a country escape and I know I want to go back in the future.

Lovely stay, the farm was beautiful and the animal feeding was the highlight of our childrens’ stay. Pool was great, super clean everywhere, and they provided maps of local walks which we utilised too. Couldn’t have asked for much more.

Expensive but worth every penny for our 4 generation trip. Rooms for exuberant kids and quiet rooms for 90+ years old great grand parents. Large sociable kitchen diner . Swim spa at 35c so great for the Californian kids.

Had a lovely stay here. Home is well equipped and cosy, a great location with beautiful views. Loved having my morning coffee by the river. The kids are already asking to come back next year.

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

We had a lovely stay. The place had everything we could need, it was private and peaceful, the hosts were friendly.

A wonderful weekend spent in cosy Sunnyside, a cottage that has been fabulously refurbished, thoughtfully designed and fabulously presented. Everything was spotlessly clean and oozed good quality. Hampsthwaite was perfectly located for exploring the area, and is a quaint, peaceful village with a welcoming pub just up the road (Joiners Arms). Emily, our host, was very accommodating and great to respond to any queries. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

Lovely little cottage tucked away with beautiful views surrounding it. A bit tricky to find as the sat nav stopped before the actual road we needed to turn down, however Jo’s clear instructions really helped. Cosy, lovely cottage. The steps are really steep up to the bedrooms though so be mindful of that. We went with our 4yr old who just loved climbing up them as she thought it was an adventure, and we just brought our baby gate to put at the top for in the night. Pately Bridge is a 10min drive away, although I would advise bringing food with you as shopping options are quite limited in the small town. Be mindful there is no microwave in the kitchen as well for food prep/baby bottles etc. Jo was a lovely host, she sent through a full brochure for us before the trip with lots of local info on. We ate at the Sportman’s Arms about 15min drive from the house as well, which I would highly recommend, also suggested by Jo. Would recommend Jo’s place for anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

Visited with my father and son for a long weekend in June. The place was exactly as we'd hoped - peaceful, secluded and comfortable. The location is beautiful, with an abundance of bird and animal life almost literally on the doorstep. My 12-year-old son is a nature lover and in his element exploring the area around the Pavilion, including a private meadow and a stream. The living room/tv area was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen set up with everything you need - plus a fantastic outside dining area with BBQ. Amanda was a great host, helpful and responsive but also low key and respectful which was ideal for us. The Pavilion is really a lovely place to stay if you're looking for a beautiful, secluded and relaxing location surrounded by nature. We had a fantastic time and would love to visit again in the future!

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. The Spinney is beautifully furnished and plenty of room for 4. Rosie and her family are lovely.

Had a wonderful stay so peaceful and relaxing. Tim was at the accommodation when we arrived so was able to give us details of local walks and places to visit. The property is quite large and has lots of space we particularly enjoyed sitting outside on the patio or in the conservatory. We hope to visit again in the future.

We could not get enough of the beautiful pastoral views outside every window – such a lovely, peaceful location! The cottage is all new, beautifully designed and decorated. Certainly, one of our nicest Airbnb stays ever! We were impressed with all the thoughtful and generous touches, especially all the goodies for us in the kitchen. Our Little Glenville stay was the perfect finale to our Yorkshire vacation.

Stayed with 3 other couples in June 2025. Excellent location and facilities. All four bedrooms were a good size, ensuite and with comfy beds. We found the directions hard to follow, but using the postcode with the satnav was fine. Overall an excellent cottage for a long weekend.

Bella’s place is a perfect place if you want to see Harrogate - so close yet so quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to everything you need. The house itself is stunning, super clean and thanks to the furnishings and extras feels really luxurious. It smells incredible and has lovely touches like treats waiting for us, higher end handwashes and bed linen. The bed was so comfortable and I had the best nights sleep. Would definitely visit again.

Sarah is a perfect host! She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even troubleshooting when I couldn't figure out how to open the door in the back garden. The the house is very cozy and tidy and convenient for local attractions. Highly recommend!

A well-appointed and comfortable base for a reunion of three friends, with easy access to good local restaurants and the town's facilities. Highly recommended.

Courtyard Cottage is a tastefully decorated and very well presented cottage. If I had to describe it in one word that word would be "charming" partly because of the courtyard garden lovingly tended by Robert & his wife. Visitors should be aware that it is small but I quickly realised that this would only have been a problem if I had been planning on staying several weeks - I only stayed 5 nights. The big plus with the cottage is to be located slap bang in the middle of one of the most attractive and historic market towns in the region at a cost lower than a hotel. Knaresborough is ideal for visiting Ripon, Leeds, York (including Castle Howard), Fountains Abbey - and I even managed the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in under an hour each way. Robert is helpful and attentive without being at all intrusive. 5 stars all round.
