our stay at staycation cottages in bakewell was lovely. the love nest Lodge was very quaint and well equipped. the bathroom was especially layed out nicely. I enjoyed the access to the football playing area, pool area and the swimming pool. we used the bbq area once and made full use of the boot room for leaflets and information for our stay would definitely return back

Had a lovely stay at the Chapel. The surrounding area was beautiful and was very peaceful. The location was perfect - a 10minute drive from Bakewell. The hosts were very friendly, were very quick to respond to messages and were kind enough to leave some extra treats for us to enjoy during our stay. The use of the indoor pool, sauna and hot tub were highlights for us and overall made for a very relaxing stay. Would definitly recommend to friends and family and would definitly stay here again.

Deferrers was the perfect choice for our weekend getaway. There were 10 of us in total plus an infant, the cottage was spacious enough for all of us and a crib was added at our request. Easy enough to reach and surrounded by picturesque views. Access to a heated swimming pool and a hot tub all for ourselves were just additional bonuses which made the trip perfect.

What a wonderful weekend we had! I celebrated my 60th birthday there. A charming Barn with lots of character. Lovely & welcoming with a special cake and birthday decorations. Treats & a bed for the dog too! All my family thoroughly enjoyed it! Lolly, the facilities manager, was really friendly and helpful before we arrived and available all weekend with any issues we had that were resolved so quickly. Thank you Lolly! Had a great week in the Peak District…great location. Everything we could wish for in terms of amenities. Kids loved the swimming pool, and the sauna was a nice touch. The Cockayne’s was well laid out, the welcome bottle of Prosecco was much appreciated and a birthday cake too was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend…communication was great throughout our stay and was a great place to base ourselves to explore the beautiful Peak District.

Four generations of our family enjoyed a memorable weekend at Harlequin Cottage. Finding somewhere to suit toddlers, the elderly and a dog wasn't easy but this felt like home from home. Angela fielded an array of questions from my family with patience and provided a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the flock of wooden ducks, the toiletries and views.

Birch Cottage was beautifully presented and perfect for a family get together. There was plenty of space, definitely did not feel cramped or on top of each other. The bathrooms were clean and modern, presented with complimentary toiletries. The bedrooms were a good size with adequate storage. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was pristine. The location of the cottage is stunning, halfway up a hillside with plenty of challenging walks literally on the doorstep. The pool area exceeded expectations. It was modern, clean and warm. Sophie pre-arranged with me the times that the occupants on our cottage would use it and that worked out fine. I would have no hesitation in recommending Birch Cottage and hope to visit again some day.

We had the best time at Teal cottage with 6 friends. The walk into holmfirth is only ten minutes, and there’s loads of coffee shops, a few nice restaurants and pubs, as well as charity shops, walks and runs nearby. We spent a day at the yorkshire sculpture park which was fun too. But mostly we just enjoyed spending time in the house! Cooking facilities, hot tub, TV and games were perfect and we had a fab, very relaxing post exams celebration. If anything it was better than the photos! Like people say in other reviews, the deposit was initially off putting but when Angela explained I felt comfortable with it. The drive is steep but work on your clutch control and you’ll be fine!! Overall absolutely spot on for 6 people for a few days away, with room for extras if we come back in future! Thank you

Me and my group of friends, 16 in total, had the best stay at Sophie’s cottages for one of the couples STEN weekend away. There were comfy beds for everyone to stop in and loads of living space for the size of the group. There’s been some dining rooms added on to the back of the cottages recently that weren’t on the photos when we booked and these meant there was loads of space for everyone to sit. The house/bedding was also super clean. We really enjoyed the swimming pool (actually more than a hot tub that we usually get at air b&bs). The location was also fab as you can go out walking straight from the cottages which we did on the Sunday and stopped off for a pub lunch on route. Cannot fault these cottages and we will be returning in 2026!
