House vacation rentals in Bláskógabyggð

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

we spent three nights in a very pleasant accommodation close to many sites. it is very well equipped, quiet and we were able to see northern lights from the sofa through the glass windows of the living room. we highly recommend this accommodation! thank you for the welcome and the ideas for visits nearby!

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

The place was nice and big. It was one of the few places in Iceland that had four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lots of space to spread out and relax. Great view from the house. Easy to find, and off-street parking. Lots of room for the money. Just be aware that the house looked like someone was living there. By that I mean there were clothe in the closet, shoes in the entry way, and food in the refrigerator and freezer. It wasn't an issue for us, but some people don't like that. I would definitely rent from her again.

We stayed at Hallfrìður’s place at the end of September and all I can say is wow! The space was amazing, we chose to mainly self cater and the lodge was kitted out with everything we could possibly need. It is situated in a small, quiet town with stunning views and the location is perfect for the likes of the Golden Circle, Secret Lagoon, snowmobiling at Gullfoss and snorkelling at Silfra. A fair drive from Reykjavik but having visited Iceland before I knew we would be doing the above activities so the location for us was perfect. Hallfrìður was a great host, she gave us clear instructions on how to get to the lodge and met us there to explain how everything works, very responsive throughout. To top it all off we got some amazing views of the Northern Lights from our front door! A truly special holiday!

Really nice home - there was definitely nothing missing. Nice size for a family of 7. Wild luxury that there were towels, bed linens, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.

A really lovely, homely place to stay. Very convenient for the Golden Circle yet tucked away in a lovely peaceful location. Fantastic to sit in the hot tub at the end of a busy day.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

Perfect place to explore the golden circle! Our kids (3, 5 and 7) loved the toys and the playground. Thanks for such a cozy spot!

Helga is a fantastic host! The property was great and was perfect for the reason we went to Iceland - Aurora Borealis !!! The northern lights were so great and we enjoyed them right from the deck of the cabin. Walking around the entire home while taking photos was perfect. The hot tub is excellent and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were greeted with a tasty cake and enjoyed the kitchen daily. Great hot water and shower. Slept so well in the comfy beds and linen. I can’t say enough about this property. Already trying to figure out when we are visiting again. Absolutely the best trip we could have had. The location is perfect for so many different sites inThe Golden Circle and the Geyser area!! Waterfalls were beautiful and within driving distance. A geothermal spa is just moments away. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The house is a beautiful, well appointed recent build. That said, they have decorated it with comfortable furniture to give it a retro modern feel thats very appealing. The surrounding views are breathtaking and you can soak them in from the hot tub outside. Perfect fornthe Northern Lights. Highly recommend!

The six of us had a wonderful time at this place. Very friendly and helpful owners! We also enjoyed the animals on the property, especially the sweet dog. Would come back again anytime!

We had an amazing 3 nights stay at Niceland Cottage. It’s quiet, peaceful, secluded- all you need to unwind after a long travel day. Hot tub is a star of it, we spend all evenings chilling there. Cottage itself is nicely renovated, was very clean and had all necessary kitchen utensils. Communication was fast and efficient, lots of detailed instructions. This place is total gem!

We had a great time exploring local attractions and watching Northern Lights from the house. Sigrun was very helpful and a great host. The pool table, darts, and ping pong kept us entertained when it was too chilly to venture outside.

Great host and space! just off the beaten path, Iris provided great recommendations for food, the house was perfect. plenty of elbow room. Would rent again with zero hesitation!

The picture doesn't do this place justice. Stayed with two young kids, and our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, warm cozy atmosphere. Having the hot tub was a cherry on the top. We would definitely stay here again.
