Exactly adjacent to the shepherd's tower, to the front only 3.5 meters wide, is located in an alley below Blankenheim Castle. At the back, with a width of around 12 meters, the building is not located on the Ahr, but on the Ahr spring that springs below the basement. At night it is absolutely quiet, with the windows open you can quietly hear the rippling of the Ahrquelle.

The Nürburgring is about 12 km away. The Volcanic Eifel offers many different possibilities to discover the area.
