Magical, relaxing, calming, surrounded by beauty and nature. We cannot recommend Miep and Derrywood highly enough. Our only regret is we didn’t stay for longer, but hope to be back asap. 5/5 isn’t enough, as this home and host (Miep) well exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for the most blissful and memorable stay!!!

Stayed for 3 nights at this remarkable property. If you are contemplating holidaying here I urge you do it, just book it now! husband, dog & I revelled in this haven of a house and it felt mansion sized, you can lose yourself among the generously proportioned rooms. The heart of the house being the huge traditional kitchen with welcoming raeburn stove which flows seamlessly into one of the most comfortable living rooms we’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. We loved the tasteful decoration throughout & the carefully curated quirky modern & antique mix of furnishings. Outside the hot tub is of a very high, quality standard & and those powerful wee jets were an absolute tonic after a day’s hillwalking! Did I mention the owner’s attention to detail? And at last, Someone who understands the importance of silky soft & crisp bedding!! Peaceful setting with the joy of hooting owls & the odd stag grazing in the field in the evenings. It's very homely and comfortable, and had everything that we needed. There are some lovely walks from around Newtonmore. Check-in and check-out was really easy which was great as we had a very long drive to get there. Caroline's instructions were also really clear. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Stayed for 3 nights over New year with the family, lovely home which made us all feel comfortable staying in, 'another home from home' Ample space for 9 adults , a child and dog Lovely views of the hills from the back garden , even more so when it was snowing. 1 minute walk to the shop, even popped into the local pub for Ne'erday drinks. We’ve been going to st fillans for many years and loved how close this was to the Loch and the play park as well as being handy for walks! Sean was very accommodating to a request we made and communicated well with us throughout. Will happily stay again in the near future!

This is the third time we have rented Ashleigh’s amazing home - first for our Son’s wedding and twice for our family ‘Fake Christmas’. It is the PERFECT place to prepare and serve a large family dinner, spacious, great equipment/utensils and comfortable. The house was decorated beautifully with a gorgeous tree, Christmas bed linen and other decorations. Ashleigh even left little treats for our Grandchildren! Her attention to detail is second to none! I truly believe that we couldn’t find a place anywhere more suited to our needs. Ashleigh is extremely attentive and responds to messages quickly and informatively. Nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend Ashleigh’s home highly enough. It ticks every box, amazing host, fantastic space and brilliant location. We can’t wait to come back!

Large 3 bedroomed home, separate dining room, 2 bathrooms. Dog friendly and within a short walk to Montrose Golf Club and the beach. Montrose high street and train station s short walk away.

Considering how important this building is historically it’s amazing that they let people stay overnight and cook in there! It’s very peaceful except on two evenings a group led by a reenactor were rather enthusiastic beneath the window! Only lasted ten minutes and it wasn’t later than 8.30pm. The bathroom gets rather chilly after 11pm when the heating goes off! A minor inconvenience and there is a real gas fire in the bedroom!

We absolutely loved our say at Susie and Amit’s apartment. Not only did their lovely space make us feel right at home but they did so much to make us feel welcome and are extremely generous hosts. The flat was spacious, clean and comfortable and was a space where we loved spending time throughout the day. The flat came with an incredible view of the city, and was so convenient as it’s right in the heart of the old town. We have stayed in Edinburgh many times and thanks to Susie and Amit’s amazing hospitality, this was easily the best experience we have had in the city. Thank you both so much for such a wonderful stay!

A lovely apartment in the city centre a few minutes from the station, spacious and very comfortable. Great views which made the 4 flights of stairs very worthwhile.

Lovely flat in central location. Comfortable bed, lovely well equipped kitchen and cosy sitting room. WC & en-suite were immaculate but shower was a little on the small side. Loved our stay here & would probably book Bev’s place again. 😊

Magical location and view. Lovely spacious apartment gorgeously decorated. We didn’t want to leave. Soft beds and a great kitchen to cook our family meals. Outstanding accomodation. We highly recommend.

Angie’s place was fantastic for our first visit to Edinburgh! The location right off the Royal Mile made it easy to walk to almost anywhere we hoped to visit. The place was clean and the perfect size for our 3 person party. We would recommend Angie’s place to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Fab stay, the location is incredible, through an almost secret door and up three flights of wide and well lit stairs. The apartment faces the other side of the mile.. into a courtyard, so it's quiet. There is a low distant hum of the local restaurants extractor fan, but absolutely no other noise during our stay. I would say it's almost peaceful which is remarkable considering it's incredible location. Taxis can be used right up to the door, or a short walk to the station. We stayed with our two kids, aged 8 & 2. One mattress on the two singles beds was a little past it's prime, but would suit a child no issues. The main bedroom (king) and the other single felt new. We would visit again in a heartbeat

It was a wonderful place to stay with great scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere . The hosts Alexandra and David were such great people which made the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable house right in the heart of Newtonmore - was a perfect location for a family winter break. Lots of space with 2 lounges and generously sized bedrooms. Really well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen in particular plus lots of games and books for the wet days (there were a few!). Off-street parking, nearby co-op shop and responsive hosts made for a stress free and enjoyable stay. We hope to be back!

What an amazing house and location. We have had a magical Christmas with everything we needed; walks, tennis, piano. The layout of the house and expansive living space suited us very well. The dog was as thrilled as her humans. The kitchen/dining room/glassware/crockery/cutlery are genuinely set up for a huge number which makes catering so much easier. As long as you don’t mind a short walk, Banchory is accessible by foot- you need a head torch in Winter! Definitely on the repeat list!

Excellent place with very good rooms and en suite bathrooms. The rooms on the second level were a bit small but very comfortable. The living area was huge and the kitchen was very well equipped. The hot tub was a great addition and helped us a lot when we returned from golf. The location is very good and an easy 10 min drive to the main part of the city. The drive to St Andrews was very easy and convenient. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

Excellent stay in lovely house. Plenty of space and well equipped. Immaculately clean. Great location, quiet, nice view of Loch Tay. Hosts very friendly and really quick in response to any questions. Would recommend and stay again myself.

Seasyde is a stunning home surrounded by beautiful grounds. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some peace and quiet in a countryside escape.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for our large group of 14—spacious, well-equipped, and with excellent facilities throughout. The garden area was a lovely bonus, great for relaxing together. We really appreciated how easy it was to walk or jog into town, but taxis were also quick and convenient when needed. Highly recommend this place for any large group looking for a comfortable and well-located stay!
