Had a wonderful time. Lots of things to see and do. I would recommend it to friends and family.

They couldnt have been better hosts. when my son felt sick Bruce sent feel better wishes. Very friendly. Will help at a moments notice. pool was clean. restraunt great. just a peaceful quiet relaxing place. have been there 2 yrs in a row and will return again. Thanks Bruce!!!!

Great experience to sleep in a Tipi. We even woke up and saw a couple deer as we got out of the Tipi. The best part of the stay was the host who was so helpful and friendly. We received some great suggestions from the host on what we could see on our drive. Very helpful.

The directions to get there were very easy to understand. I had trouble finding exactly where I was supposed to park when I got there, however, the stay was pleasant overall.

Our experience at John’s was so perfect, we don’t know where to start. The amazing tents with perfectly comfortable beds and bedding, the deck with fire pit, the thoughtful snacks and supplies, or the amazing outdoor shower with plenty of hot water? The location was amazing for everything you want to do in the area. With only 3 sites, it was private and quiet. Minutes from Rushmore and Custer made it a great launching spot for day trips. John was always available with information about the area or for anything else we needed. We stayed several days and could have easily stayed a week comfortably. Will definitely be going back. So much more to explore in the area.

Host were very kind and flexible with us arriving a little earlier. It’s a great spot to be, 15 minutes from rapid city and in between Mount Rushmore and the badlands. The RV was very nice and spacious. Would stay again!

My husband and I were traveling across country and this was the perfect place to relax and get a good night of sleep. There was much land for our dog to explore and get some energy out! Would highly recommend!

Wow what a place! Amazing views. Amazing hosts. We are already planning a trip back. The Firefly tent was exactly as pictured. We arrived later in the evening and the host still responded when we had a power issue that ended up being an easy fix. We went late October and it was a little cold in the Firefly but not unbearable. The heater works for immediate area and it was enough for us. The bed was a little on the hard side for me but others in our group felt it was perfect. Bathroom was centrally located and immaculately clean. Hosts responded to all our dumb questions and provided some things to do besides the obvious locations. We highly recommend staying here and going to Hermosa Cafe for breakfast. Great spot!

The Eagle Tipi was such a cozy, unique getaway! It was extremely clean, with a well thought-out layout and comfortable furniture. The linens were high quality, and the little extras (fairy lights, lanterns, snacks, coffee, and cutlery) made the experience top-notch. The bathroom was very clean and had everything one might need! The walking path around the edge of the property was a beautiful place to take an evening stroll. Robyn was quick to respond to any questions and was an excellent host. We had the best dinner at Jalapeños based on her recommendation! I highly recommend staying at this property if you're in or around the Hot Springs/Angostura Lake area!

like the city, I wish one day I can visit it again if I have the chance

Great hosts! We felt right at home and were very comfortable finding what we needed after long days exploring the black hills, nature, and wildlife. We were able to slow down, enjoy the kids, and share new experiences that we will never forget. 100% recommend the stay at Melanie’s!! They were extremely easy to work with and were very accommodating. Thank you!!

very cool spot! extremely close to Custer. I recommend going to Lynn's for any grocery needs! Payton was extremely friendly and responsive. The location was ideal for all my hiking needs and very close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. There is a small cat that likes to hang around the area. Called and asked Payton about her and luckily, she belongs to the neighbor. Her name is Tina and she is very friendly. Be sure to give her some love when walks up to greet you. Overall, the experience was a 5/5
