We absolutely loved our cabin at Wigwam Holidays! The place was cozy and clean, with amazing views. It was the perfect base for exploring the Cairngorms! Tomintoul itself is a cute little village. The hosts were really friendly and made everything easy. The space was clean and tidy and we had everything we could need in the kitchen. Overall great stay :)

Quiet location with lovely walks on the doorstep . Gail was very welcoming . House had everything you need for a relaxing weekend . Enclosed garden for our dogs made letting them out a relaxing experience.

We felt right at home at Elizabeth and David’s place. The bothy was warm and cozy with beautiful views and all the amenities we needed for our three night stay. They were so lovely and friendly to chat with over a delicious homemade breakfast and their spot was a perfect home base to explore the highlands.

Lovely little cottage attached to the main house. Area very peaceful and quiet and a good location to explore the local area. There was a field at the front of the house where we were able to walk our dog. Living room area was a nice space with two sofas and log burner, kitchen was fully euipped with a small table, upstairs good size bedroom, however matress was a little lumpy. Bathroom with shower was modern and clean. We had a lovely 5 night stay and would highly recommend this place to others.

One of the best apartments we've ever been. Frances greeted us with a homemade bread and a freshly baked chocolate cake. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got milk in the fridge and some fresh eggs. The whole apartment was extraordinary and we immediately felt like home. Our host was very friendly and quick with answers when we had a question. We highly recommend to stay at Frances's farm.

The Mill is an absolutely gorgeous home! It's very well taken care of, clean, and it's beautifully decorated. We felt right at home. Megan and Sean left good instructions for us, and were readily available to greet us and answer any questions we had. They had everything we could want, from ample kitchen supplies to extra cozy blankets. Coming from a few days in Edinburgh, it was a peaceful, idyllic stay. We enjoyed walking down the farm lanes to see all the baby lambs in the fields. We would 100% stay here again if we had the opportunity. Thank you so much, Megan and Sean, for opening your lovely home to us and being such excellent hosts!

What a special place Balintore Castle is. I would say don’t expect high end luxury when you stay here, but I loved it. If only the walls could talk! The sound of the birds outside and getting glimpses of the deer trotting around the grounds was really special. After a brilliant and interesting tour by David, you can really see his love and passion for restoring this magnificent building. Sara and David were really responsive to our needs. Also - the beds were so comfy! Especially when we got the wood burners going in there.

Weve just returned from a 3 night stay in this exceptional apartment. The location is perfect, right on the river and with private parking The apartment is immaculate, with everything you could want in terms of being a home from home. Nothing was out of place, and everything was extremely clean and well thought out Shonagh was helpful and proactive throughout the booking, and leading up to check-in Ballater is a great base to explore the beautiful surrounding scenery, and a number of walks start close to the apartment. The town itself has enough in terms of plaves to see / eat / drink to keep everyone happy All in all, a great stay at a great apartment, and we'll very much be looking to return later this year
