Although I never met Arpita, she manages her parents home online - Arpita is excellent at communication. Arpita's English is excellent and she communicates clearly and concisely. I never had to wait long for a reply. This listing offers extra services like prepared meals and arranging excursions and transportation. All of these services were delivered with excellence. I brought a colleague with me, with the two of us we had quite a list of foods we didn't eat. All of the meals were delicious and met our dietary needs. This home is located on a very busy road. The rooms on the exterior wall facing the road experience road noise which was difficult for sleeping. You can hear loud noise going on in the upstairs bathrooms in the early morning. The family's staff are all wonderful. I felt welcomed and well cared for and enjoyed my stay.

Even thousand words are simply not enough to describe what me and my wife felt about this place! Outstanding would simply be an understatement. We were travelling from Guwahati to Sivasagar and decided to make a night halt in Jorhat. The primary reason for choosing this place was the washing machine :) Little did we know that we were in for such a pleasant surprise! Arunav had been very proactive in all the communications. His father, who lives right next to the property, kept in touch so that we don't find any difficulty in finding the address. We reached at around 8 pm, there was space to park our car inside the premises. Just a short flight of stairs and Chang Ghar amazed us like no other Airbnb property has ever before! "So very thoughtful!", my wife exclaimed. There was literally everything that one might need. Chang Ghar has much more than that is listed in the description. But more than anything else, it was the love and warmth of Phukan Sir, which we shall forever cherish!

The homestay is an outhouse in the premises of the beautiful garden villa of Gamlin family; and is a pristine hilltop with a beautiful view of Naharlagun valley and it's early sunrise and sunset from the rear balcony, and the host's well maintained picturesque homestead garden in the front. The hosts leave no stone unturned in ensuring their guests are comfortable at their place, from the moment of check-in. They also guide us profoundly on our local travel and itenerary while being there. Breakfast was complimentary and other meals were available on order. The Banderdawa-Itanagar Highway at Naharlagun town is about 600mtrs downhill, and the homestay is accessible through a concrete road and vehicles can reach upto the doorstep. During our visit they had one bath attached bedroom with a private sit-out and a dining space, and they are adding another bedroom and a kitchen which would be live in a few weeks time.
