Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Bhimtal

My experience with Lakehouse Home Stay was simply amazing. I'll try to describe my experience in detail from start to finish. Booking and Checkin: Anuj was extremely helpful even before booking the property, he cleared all my doubts with fast responses and since the price was fluctuating he assisted me to book at the right time so that I get the best price. I booked the place for 1 guest and at the last moment on the same morning of Checkin, a friend of mine decided to join me and Anuj was quick in assisting me to change the reservation details. He provided me with Prakash's number (Care taker of the property) in advance so that I could contact him to guide us to the property. Upon reaching, Prakash helped us with the luggage since you have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the property as mentioned in the description and let me tell you that 150 stair climb is so worth it when you witness the view from the balcony. Location: The property is perfectly situated, it's right above the mall road so you get a great view of the lake, at the same time it's high enough that you can stay in peace away from the busy mall road. Stay: The property is spacious and can easily accommodate a family of 4-5. Washrooms are clean and well maintained, a geyser is installed in the kitchen and has connections to the bathroom as well if you need warm water, there is also a dedicated kitchen space however not furnished, if you're carrying your own cooking equipment then make use of it by all means. Apart from the property, Prakash was very helpful and always available when needed. He can cook you meals on demand although they can be slightly expensive I'd say, we got 1 Maggi and 1 bread Omelette prepared and it cost us ₹250 but it's worth it considering that Prakash is available at all times for requests like these. He also offered to re-heat any type of take away food that we get packed from a restaurant or collect any order that we want to get delivered since the property is situated 150 stairs above the mall road and delivery guy will not deliver it at your door step. (Of course we didn't ask him to do all this but it was amazing to see that he himself offered us this favor). The complimentary breakfast was great. First day we got Aalu Choley (Potatoe with chick peas) and Poori with Tea/coffee on the side. The next day we got stuffed parathas and poha along with tea/coffee. I almost forgot that main attraction of this place is the Balcony swing that you can chill on in the night or during the day it's just that good combined with the beautiful view. Also, a good wifi connection is available if you need to use it for your office needs. Checkout: I wasn't feeling well on the day of checkout and it was nice to see that Prakash didn't rush us for the checkout and at the same time was kind enough to hold our luggage bags with him for us to pick up later. If that wasn't enough he also dropped the luggage to us downstairs at the mall road when we were leaving the town. Also during the stay it was nice to see that Anuj also messaged to check on us if everything is going well and if we were comfortable. Overall, I'm really happy with the place and if you can manage the stairs then I'd recommend this property 10/10. P.S. If you have rented a vehicle or have one of your own you can also reach the property from one road above as mentioned in the description, it's much more convenient than climbing 150 stairs.

Every thing was nice but they are in hurry to push you out. At 11am. The care taker started calling at 11am. Constantly. To vacate the room which was little upsetting. Also the place is beautiful location but. The approach of the caretaker was not great Very dry and no smile on face .

The place is beautiful and despite not seeing any of the mountains because of the hazy heat, we had a great time. Pawan’s cooking was amazing and the service was excellent. Our guide Kim was excellent with kids and we had a very lovely cultural walk. I wouid probably recommend trying to go just after the rains as that clears the view for the snow capped peaks or even heading up to zero point if it’s hazy as we still managed to get a sneak peak of the mountains from there. Also best beds and duvets and loved the dogs, children, lemons and baby goats:):)

Ideallic heaven is really a paradise . Starting from the trek downhill where you get spectacular view of the mountains and the clouds passing , next comes the welcome drink which was relishing and gave the beginning taste of their super 5star hospitality . The way Pawan bhaiya received us with a bright smile made us felt like home and the little cute kids there were the best company we had , not to forget a fur ball doggy Ghumroo who was very friendly. The food served was very delicious and on time. Pawan bhaiya was very helpful and took utmost care of our food needs. The walk around the village and the the people there felt like home . Didn't feel like leaving that place . But would definitely make a trip there soon with a longer stay . 😇

Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Shitlakhet, Himadri Homestay offers a tranquil escape into the heart of nature. Surrounded by lush jungle, the atmosphere is imbued with a sense of adventure. One of the highlights of this homestay is its proximity to breathtaking sunset viewpoints. Host was friendly and had a willingness to go extra mile to enhance the overall experience. A particularly memorable moment was when the host graciously accompanied us on a nighttime leopard sightseeing excursion, adding an element of excitement and safety to the adventure. The meals served were amazing. There is a very tiny restaurant just next to homestay serving delicious momos and noodles, adding a texture to the experience of Shitlakhet.

We had a wonderful stay at Karan's place. It is away from the usual tourist hubs within a short driving distance to Sattal and Bhimtal and has a great view of the valley from the terrace and balcony, which are open to guests. The caretaker, Mr Saraj was very polite and attentive to all our requests and Karan kindly provided an early check in. The room was clean and comfortable.

It is a fantastic place with very warm people. Devika Aunty is an amazing woman who has created a magical corner surrounded by hills. Her charming cottage is decorated with peach plants, blooming hydrengeas and hemmed by lovely pink climbing rose vines. Her staff is caring and take great effort to make the guests feel comfortable. Every meal we had here is a memory to cherish - from bengali luchis to pahadi rajma and ragi roti. It is a place to relax and reflect, a slice of good life that we all chase put together affectionately by the incredible Devika Aunty.

An amazing escape from your crowded metro life . A place where you can actually hear the birds chirp. Very peaceful and serene. The star gazing was amazing. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. Riddhi is an amazing person and a very responsive host. Makes you feel right at home. They had 4 dogs and kunwar singh was the best :)❤️ Shagun and Riddhi have worked very hard to make this place unique and lovely. It felt like a peaceful adventure trip.

The place felt right at home and it was peaceful, calm, and serene. There was a lovely view from the drawing room and it was quite beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. It’s a private property and was easy to find. A proper cottage for a family and a big group. The caretaker was really helpful and provided really good service and cooked home cooked meals that were very healthy and tasty. Overall a must stay.

We loved our second stay even more than the first. It's a beautiful private space that soothes and heals. Highly recommend going there for the sunny lawn, the view, the quiet, the food, and the caretaker (who elevated our entire experience).

The most comfortable and peaceful stay I ever had. The place is located in the middle of beautiful forest, on a hilly road, surrounded by village. Maya Ji is a soft spoken strong woman and Soban Bisht Ji (Maya Ji’s husband) is a gem of a person. It was very kind of him to stay awake till late to receive me with welcoming smile on his face. Co-host Sriparna, Rimi as everyone there calls her, is cute and intelligent, very helpful. Rohit also accompanied Mr. Bisht to welcome me at late evening. It’s good to be with them all the time, really great family experience. Organic food and the way Maya Ji cooks is next level. She knows the hospitality very well. She won’t eat until the guests have had their food. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would love to visit again

We had an amazing stay at Rohan’s place! The surroundings were so beautiful — full of greenery and very well maintained, it instantly made us feel relaxed. Rohan was super thoughtful and stayed in touch throughout. A day before our trip, he even messaged us to bring jackets since it had rained in Nainital — really appreciated the heads up! He also helped plan our detailed itinerary, day by day with great suggestions for treks, local food spots, and must-visit restaurants. Thanks to his guidance, we got to experience so much more than we would have on our own. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful and well-organized getaway! There's alot of stays in Nainital but I know I will definitely book Rohans's home in a heartbeat whenever I visit again. Do yourself a favour and book Langdale Lodge if you want a home like feel, something different than your usual commercial hotels where you're confined in a room.
