We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is beautiful, spacious and peaceful, and the grounds are magnificent, with tons of privacy, beautiful views, large trees and a tranquil old world European country villa feel. Lynne, our host, was exceptionally friendly, and helped without any reservations. We will definitely come back for a longer stay, and to recharge away from the city.

Lez is the friendliest, loveliest host on the planet ! I kid you not. She gave a very warm welcome and a lovely cold drink, went down a treat after a long hot drive. Lez knows the area well & gave us so much info on what there is to do near their lovely home, but also further afield. Easy drive to the Cederberg Wilderness. The terrace is a bonus, to watch the sunset from over the mountains, then star gazing in the biggest skies. The pool is a luxury too. Kitchen is fully equipped. Everything here for that break away from the rat race. Highly recommend this property. Thank you Lez for the most memorable place we stayed on our trip around your beautiful country.

Amazing place in a peaceful location with super helpful and attentive staff. A definite plus is the ability to do star gazing while at the same time relaxing in a hot tub. Really doesn’t get any better than that

My wife and I wanted a bit of peace and quite before the year began and decided to make a trip to a secluded place where we can relax and recharge and it was well worth it. Kathy and her husband were wonderful hosts providing us with everything we need, directing us to walking routes on the farm, telling stories of the history and the surroundings. Evenings under the stars in the hot tub surrounded by fire and a lot of nothingness is exactly what we had hoped for. This is an absolute must to add to the bucket list.

Definitely worth the trip. Looking forward to a return visit. Club Mykonos is really amazing!

Our stay was amazing. This space did not fall short of providing the tranquility that it stands for. The house was well-maintained and beautiful. It is much larger than shown and was enjoyed thoroughly. The host Clifford was attentive when assistance was needed requiring the jacuzzi. Maria was super responsive at all times of the day and made staying there easy and comfortable. We truly enjoyed the space and would recommend it highly to others.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft am Strand, der Flair des Hauses ist wie gewünscht der eines Strandhauses aber das mein ich nicht negativ. Der Pool ist sauber, mit 21 grad C sehr frisch aber eine nette Abkühlung und das Meer ist wesentlich kälter 😅 Die Ausstattung war voll ok, auch wenn mansche Dinge (Mixer z.B) vielleicht man erneuert werden sollten Alles in allem eine Unterkunft mit Charme Uns hat es sehr gefallen!!

The place was reaaly great. It was nice and big with a lovely braai area.

This is a prime spot where guests can social with other guests or simply relax on their own. Expect an uncomplicated stay, friendly host and enjoy restaurants within walking distance. Beach runs and walks are highly recommended.

Absolutely loved staying here. Beautiful landscape outside your tent, breakfast on the balcony , lunch on the beach and dinners in the boma. Rasheed is great, always willing to help with a smile and and had a lovely chat with the Theresa about the farm history.We had lovely weather but there is always some wind which is great for those super hot days. Tent itself even in direct sun is always cool and been told in cooler months the evenings can get chilly. Do suggest a 4x4 so you can head to the beach and back when you want however rasheed is available to take you back and forth as well. Overall and great stay and look forward to visiting again!

I want to share my impressions of our weekend in a lovely house we rented with friends. The place was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxation. The nature around was simply breathtaking: green forests and fresh air created a serene atmosphere. We enjoyed morning walks and evening gatherings on the terrace. Huge thanks to Jane for her hospitality and care. This weekend left us with only positive emotions, and we will definitely come back!

The house was perfect for our family which included 2 adults, 2 toddlers, and 3 grandparents. Everything in the house you can need as if you were in your own place. Short walking distance to great beach for kids to play on. Great braai and kuier area. Yzerfontein the town and area is a gem on the West coast and worth a visit.

The house was great, awesome location right on the beach. Cosy cottage style beach living. We loved our stay and will absolutely be back. The beach access and views on the porch each night was our highlight.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very relaxing and family friendly. I appreciated that my small children could play with ease and not have to worry about the surroundings. The house is spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked well with cutlery, dishes and appliances. The location is breathtaking! It was such a relaxing environment and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Dorita was exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was a small issue as to how the remotes worked when we were checking in but Dorita responded immediately to my query and sorted out things out quickly and effectively. The house is well located within walking time of restaurants, main beach and shops. It is well appointed, clean, neat, comfortably furnished with beautiful sea views from the back upper deck. Yzerfontein is a lovely West Coast coastal town with plenty to do and see in the area, including beer tasting at local breweries, gin tasting at an artisanal distillery, an amazing artisanal bakery, beach walks, etc. We look forward to our next visit.

What a lovely place! Easy check in and super host! Had a great weekend with fam and friends! Kids and adults enjoyed it! Late check out was AWESOME. Especially if you only stay for the weekend. Makes a huge difference! Loved the nature...all the animals came to greet, was so special!

As a returning guest: The home still is a gem. No matter how warm the weather got the home remained nice and cool. Yet another peaceful stay.

We had a truly lovely stay Surrounding cedarberg , clanwilliam & citrusdal are in easy reach The cottage is well positioned , quiet & private . We enjoyed the rustic Stoep and loved to cool down in the private pool Thank you for all your hints on MTB routes .

Stunning home that is so perfect for families, it feels like a home away from home. The house had everything we could possibly need. Sylvia was really good in her communication and ensured that our check in process and stay was as comfortable as possible. The only slight draw back was the speed of the wifi but should not take away from the home and our stay. I would highly recommend Sylvia's place for families.
