I honestly would give this place a higher rating if it was available. Best way to describe it is a green mini haven. Super easy to find. Very walkable to the beach. Private and spacious. The neighbors are super kind and welcoming as well! The staff is beyond welcoming and the caregiving and response is insane. I’m pretty sure Mr. Ibrahim had his phone glued to his hand because his response time is wild lol. Hands down the best rented space I’ve been in and it easily made me fall in love with Cotonou even more! I would recommend 100% the pictures and description don’t even do it justice it’s even better in person!

Good value for money,I would recommend this house to any person who wants to stay in Cotonou. The real estate agent Mathieu and the caretaker Antoine were very responsive and always available.

Our stay at Villa Sonnenblume was wonderful. You didn't rest in Benin if you didn't go there! We were fortunate enough to be there when the owners Mr. Koffi and Ms. Gabriele were there. They welcome the place with lots of heart and kindness. Nothing was too much in demand. Mrs. 'mom' Delphine was always there to help us if we needed cooking or cleaning equipment, or to give us advice on where to find or buy what. We stayed in the spacious Baobab room, on the ground floor, right in front of the well equipped kitchen, with gas stove and fridge. The beds were comfy, the windows and beds had mosquito nets. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. Mr. Koffi is a great painter, and the rooms are very nicely decorated with his works. The pool was very well maintained, we enjoyed the refreshing swims on the warm afternoons. The villa is very close to the beach (5 min. walk), to get to the small center of the city it took us 10 minutes by zem. It's the perfect place to go, alone or with family. For us, this is the best place in Grand Popo. We will definitely be back!

Koffi and her Woman are exceptional hosts, although I can't get to know them this time they were attentive to us, good directions and interesting area references. The place has been wonderful in every way, the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness of the place, the people in the house very friendly, the art and peace that is breathed in the garden. We will definitely be back.

Very good stay at Villa Sonnenblum . It is very well located, not far from major roads (but enough not to hear traffic!) and several restaurants in Grand Popo that can be reached on foot. The surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing, you can hear a little waves in the distance. The check-in went very well, everything was very clear. Thanks to Willy who was very available during our stay. The pool is a real plus, slightly shaded. Finally, the house is decorated with great taste, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We will come back without hesitation!

I unfortunately didn’t stay with Koffi, however I would have definitely stayed, their place looks great. I was hoping for WiFi, which isn’t that accessible in that particular area, as could probably be quite expensive if you are not a Hotel. I would have much preferred to stay in a family based establishment such as Koffi’s😌 I wanted to comment on the friendly and helpful communication that was exchanged, as I had booked mistakenly and was requesting a refund, which they were very happy to do. It was an error on my part. My final communication once the refund had been returned was from Koffi, to say if I wanted or planned to do a long term stay for a month, he would have been happy to provide this for me. It’s amazing in Gand Popo and if staying for longer, I would have taken up the offer! Thank you Koffi!

After Grand-Popo, we settle in Hévier, near Abomey-Calavi, a strategic location that allows us to easily reach Ouidah, the beach road or the center of Cotonou. We are staying in Marcel's villa, a small comfortable and well thought-out house. It has three bedrooms, including a master suite, as well as a large living area open to a very well-equipped kitchen: oven, microwave, stove and even a dishwasher, a real plus! All rooms are air-conditioned and ventilated, offering good comfort despite the ambient heat. The outside is rather small, but it has the advantage of having a nice little pool, perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. Budget level, it costs a little less than €50 per night, plus electricity costs. A good base to explore the area!
