We had such a wonderful stay. The home was so clean, very modern and very spacious. The host was super friendly and very very quick to cater to all our needs. We felt very safe and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning so the house was not hot. Our stay was very enjoyable and exceed our expectations 😁

Great place, superb location, beautiful balcony , very clean. It’s like a flat in Europe just with a charm. Just one thing: it’s rented by rooms but we as a couple ended up booking the whole place as it’s impossible to share place with strangers , to share a small bathroom it can get very uncomfortable , but ok for a group of friends or family. The host is were very accommodating, we got a perfect agreement . Highly recommended !

We enjoyed our night stay at Murali place. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood and it feels very safe. Minutes away from the beach. The couple is very welcoming and made us feel like home. Our three children enjoyed all the fish feeding . We will be returning in 2 years ,2021

I can only agree with the very positive reviews. This was also a very special place for me! The guest house is very quiet and at the same time within walking distance of the village. After the days before were a bit exhausting and chaotic, I was able to come here directly to relax and recharge the batteries. Far away from all the tourist crowds… Krishan and his team were also very helpful and friendly. When we were there, we decided on short notice to go on a safari that Krishan organized for us. For us, this was possible solely from the point of view that it is carried out with respect for nature and wildlife. This was definitely fulfilled in the Maduru Oya National Park. We enjoyed the curry twice, which was absolutely delicious. Regardless of the safari, one of my favorite places in Sri Lanka. Thanks Krishan!

I had an amazing stay at this property! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was ideal, close to beaches, shops, and transportation. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process and answering any questions I had promptly. It truly felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again

We had a great 2 days with great hosts. The beautiful beach is deserted and the word private beach takes on a meaning here. Every day we had loving, local breakfast, lunch and dinner and were able to more than enjoy our stay. If you are looking for peace from other tourists and the general hustle and bustle, this is the place to be, except for the fishermen in the village, there is no one here. We would come back anytime.

Just the right location for our family trip. The rooms we quaint and comfortable. The staff, especially Sajith was excellent on site manger. He provided a varied and tasty breakfast and dinner with his staff. The beach was clean and rustic authenticity. Sun rise was spectacular. Choice of local food within east drive as well.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thevalakshumie's Place in Batticaloa, and it was a delightful experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to find and conveniently accessible to all the major attractions. The amenities provided were essential and met all my needs. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The host was helpful, providing clear instructions and prompt communication. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. I would love to come back in the future and highly recommend Thevalakshumie's Place to others visiting Batticaloa.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The family is very hospitable. The accomodation is located between Pasikuda and Kalkudah Beach. You have to walk 5-10 min to reach the beaches. The breakfast and the dinner were amazing and they always explain to you what it is and how to eat it. My boyfriend mentioned once that he wants to try fish during our trip and the next evening they prepared fish for him. So attentive :) Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The location is fantastically beautiful - it is very worth the stroll down to the Elephant Rocks! Let yourself be cooked and get to know the authentic and true life of Sri Lanka. We LOVE this place! The staff decorated everything on our daughter's birthday, organized a cake with writing on it and celebrating a party with us - thank you so much for the most beautiful birthday! :)

The property is spacious , green and airy. Two big beaches (Kalkudah and Passikudah ) are just 200 metres away in opposite directions to each other. The host ,Mr,Arul, and his wife ,Usha, made us feel right at home. The breakfast was complimentary . It was vast, very delcious and had variety. We also opted for dinner at the Arul's property as it was so good. Seafood curries ( Fish and prawn curries) were made in heaven and the variety of vegetables offered was great! Here all the guests are offered welcome drink on arrival. Water dispenser is provided for all the guests so there is no need to buy plastic water bottles. Laundry services provided . A/C in every cottage but we rarely used it as cool sea breeze keeps the room walls cool. We had a great time.

We had a lovely time at never been to lagoon town Batticaloa. Javid is a great host. Nothing is too much trouble for Javid. He was always available to answer any queries.Javid arranged local transport and a trip to Passikudah. He also brought some local sweets and drinks for us to try. We had dinner at never been twice which was prepared by Javid’s mum which was delicious. It’s a home from home. The apartment is within minutes of walking distance to shops and other amenities. Thank you Javid for your warm hospitality and we wish you all the best for the future.

Krishan is the man. One of the nicest guys we have met in Sri Lanka. His wife is very nice as well as being an amazing cook. The place is very clean and has a stellar air conditioner. The shower is the best part though, hot/cold and the best water pressure we have had yet. Krishan and his family took great care of us and Maha Oya is a great little town to walk around in as well as the surrounding area. Cheers for the great stay
