Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Battery Point

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Braithwaite! We travelled down to Hobart, for Dark Mofo, and the house was the perfect home base to unwind and refresh after day/night trips. The place was spotless and each space was prepared with care, to ensure we had everything we needed. We made great use of the outdoor bath, which was appreciated after a day on foot.

This place is fantastic if you are visiting Hobart! Kelly has done a phenomenal job of making this apartment into such a cosy home - full of everything you would need. Kelly, herself, is so kind and helpful and made our trip so enjoyable!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true home—not just a holiday rental. Everything was so well maintained, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully set up to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. Ben and Tess were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It’s the little things that really stood out: a pantry stocked with essentials like olive oil, a lovely selection of teas and coffee, and even fresh milk waiting in the fridge. These thoughtful touches made such a difference. The decor throughout the house was absolutely stunning—stylish yet cozy, with so much attention to detail. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking. The home is in the perfect spot, with scenery that you’ll remember long after your trip is over. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

We had a great stay in Hobart. The Cottage was well equipped for what we needed and their check out rules were a game changer for us - we had 3 kids with us and an early flight on a Sunday morning. It makes all the difference when you don't have to worry about rubbish and dishwashers before you leave. Thank you Kate and Keiren for making us feel so at home. Lots of nice touches - lovely linen and pillows, great staples in the pantry and milk for a cuppa when you arrive. Easy walk to great spaces nearby. Loved it. Will be back.

This house felt like home to us from the moment we walked in the door and the house stayed warm and inviting for the whole of our stay. The gorge is a short invigorating walk away as is the heart of this colonial village. And there is a lot to be said for having a conscientious IGA Foodstore on the next corner.

Fantastic space, absolutely loved staying here and it felt just like home. Close to plenty of activities and dining, also being private and tucked away to feel comfortable at night. Will definitely recommend!

Five star stay at Anna’s cottage in Hobart. Excellent value for a private cozy cottage with an excellent layout in the city. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed.

One part historic, one part modern, we loved our stay at this special place in Hobart. The kitchen is sunny and the house has a gas fireplace for the chilly nights. The wharf is just a 20 minute walk from here. If you rent a car and take the ferry, Maria Island is just over an hour’s drive away and makes for a fun day trip.

Spacious and clean apartment. Exactly as described. Wayne was so welcoming and helpful during our stay. highly recommendes.

Wow! Well worth it! Unheard of value. The space is very considerate and functional. It has everything you need and more. Bath n shower , great heating, one of the best kitchens I’ve used, a pantry full of quality food and a very comfortable bed all wrapped in an interesting cave at a great location. Best stay in Hobart, it’s clear Yvette has put a lot of thought and love into this place.

My partner and I stayed at Dean and Moya’s place while in Hobart. It was a good base for exploring the city and was within walking distance of the city centre. The place is modern and has a great view of the city. We loved the heated floors in the bathroom/kitchen. We were also visited by a Pademelon in the backyard that had a joey in its pouch. Overall, we had a lovely stay.

We had a fabulous stay. The apartment was brilliant and in a beautiful area of Hobart. Everything we needed was provided and Anja made sure that any needs were met. We hope to stay again!

Such a delightful house in an ideal location. Surrounded by beautiful and historic homes high on the hill overlooking the water. We ate at many local spots and mostly had dinner in the Salamanca area, a casual 10min stroll away. Our hosts were kind, thoughtful and easy to contact- full points for response to communication. Wonderful stay.

Couldn't have asked for more, Miro and Edina were super warm, welcoming and friendly and their place was very clean, well stocked with necessary items and amenities and even some complimentary fruits and basic cooking ingredients. The location was very convenient and walkable to many popular eateries and the famous Salamanca Market. The 3 bedrooms and 2 toilets and availability of a washer/dryer was exactly what I was looking for and the surrounding area was quite private and quiet during our stay. will definitely stay again if I happen to go to Hobart again

Beautiful place to stay whilst exploring Hobart. Felt very central and walkable to most areas. Had a wonderful stay here.

The location of this two bedroom unit makes it unbeatable! The beds and bedding were fresh and comfy. Kitchen and bathroom both modern. Whilst the unit itself and furnishing were a little dated, it was clean and had everything we needed. The location meant we were not home much!

We had a great time staying at Robert’s Condo. The location was great for walking everywhere. Close to good cafes and restaurants. Robert added some lovely unexpected little additions which made us feel right at home. Thank you! The condo itself is large and has modern amenities. We look forward to travelling back someday with our 1 year old son.

Roxy and Ambre have done a beautiful job with this unit. You can hear the waves crashing and see the beach from the apartment. Beautifully clean and bed was really comfortable. You are close to many yummy restaurants and a few with delicious vegan GF options. If you like op shopping like me you'll find them in walking distance to the apartment. We stayed for 6 days and the neighbours were lovely saying hi to our son each day. The beach is also a kids paradise with a swing on the sand and an area the community have set up with toys. Lovely little touches in the apartment with a rain jacket and umbrellas. We just loved it and will definitely be back. Thanks for making our holiday so relaxing.
