Monthly Rentals in Barsana

We had a great time with the family at Adi's house. The house is very spacious, and the beds comfortable. An extra double bed, which was not on the listing, is in an open room upstairs, so we were able to sleep 5 people without a problem, without using the ground floor living room as a bedroom. Adi's parents, who live in the neighboring house, are very welcoming and speak French: what a nice surprise, even though we had tried to learn a few words in Romanian! This made the exchanges all the easier and more rewarding. The house is well located for visiting Maramureș (Săpânța, Sighetu Marmatiei, Bârsana, Breb, Borșa, etc.).

If you want a secluded house away from the hustle and bustle - look no further. It’s lovely wooden house with plenty of space and decorated with the local crafts. The fireplace is the centrepiece, which we lit up daily as it also heats the radiators in the rooms. Plenty of space, very well equipped, and the terrace with the swing is a nice feature. We were unlucky with the weather, but on a great day it’s an amazing stay with the beautiful peaceful surroundings. Mariana is a great host, always responsive, and we should have trusted more her instructions, which were precise. You also should be mindful that last 2 minutes of drive are on the unpaved road. The house is a very convenient location to explore the rural Maramures.

This apartment was the perfect home away from home for me for two weeks. Well-located in the center of the city, it's close to the famous Sighet nail, as well as the memorial. Only a 5 min walk away, there is the best specialty coffee in Sighet, which I enjoyed every day. You can also find two supermarkets right across the street. The apartment is very spacious, it accommodated me and 5 other members of my family for 3 days with no problems. The internet speed is great, I was able to work from home the entire time of my stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need, so you can cook if you don't fancy any of the restaurants around. Last but not least, Michael is very friendly and always just a message away. My interaction with him was very pleasant and he always helped with anything I needed.
