Vacation rentals in Barrocal

We stayed there for 5 nights and found it very nice. The view and the terrace are even better than what you see in the pictures. All in all, it was a very nice stay. The only drawback: super kitchen equipment, but too few dishes to fill the dishwasher - there were only 2 dishwasher tabs, so we had to wash some dishes. Thank you for the delicious wine and the great fireplace dear Benedito, we just felt comfortable and would come back! We highly recommend staying in the spring, as nature is beautiful and green, but a car is necessary, as Aljustrel itself offers less sights and we made many trips to the Atlantic/Algarve.

this place was amazing! great kitchen amenities, great decoration and attention to detail, fantastic mattress and pillows. felt very homely. the hut is private and has a great nature view to wake up to. top marks for the host providing a very well organized PDF with information on the surroundings and suggestions on what to do and where to eat. we stayed during new year's eve so it was quite cold, but the wood stove worked wonders in warming the place :) clearly the construction of the house is well made with good materials, because the heat was very well preserved throughout the night. we also did a very lovely 4hr hike. for true nature lovers this is an ideal place <3

How can I describe the amazing days I spent at Verena and Mario's place? From the start, Mario and Verena were incredible hosts, full of positive energy and warmth. The place itself exceeded all expectations; it's even more beautiful and relaxing than the pictures suggest. The atmosphere is poetic and serene, making it the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. I would definitely visit again! I highly recommend staying here—you won’t regret it.

María Luisa was a great host. She guided us with directions to her place. It was really lovely seeing old house with excellent architectural details. Loved it. So well located 20 feet away from plaza. Great restaurants, especially Acebuche which was like 10 feet away. The restaurant owners were so personable, let us sample delicacies of the Extremadura area. Wine “la Raya” outstanding. Jesus and Veronica the proprietors, were jokingly teased by the locals about how attentive they were to us. Just two shmos which they treated like VIPs. Loved Maria’s place, loved Acebuche, loved Villanueva de Fresno.

The house has all the amenities and much more than those described in the listing. Unfortunately, we got one of the rainy days, but the accommodation didn't lose its charm. The peace is unparalleled and the outdoors is amazing! We were able to have some meals on the street and it was really delicious. I couldn't fail to point out the decoration of the house, which mixes modern elements with older ones and makes us feel at home. We had a setback and the owner was very helpful and helped us quickly. I highly recommend visiting the house of the hat!

A good place at a good price, everything very clean and cozy, the host Joaquin is very friendly and helpful. If we return to the area, we will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The house was spacious, private, and comfortable—perfect for both sunny and rainy days. It had a cozy atmosphere and offered everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. The kitchen was well equipped, though we did miss a few basics like kitchen towels, chopping boards, and some cleaning utensils. A few of us also found the bed mattresses and pillows less comfortable than expected. That said, everything else was great, and we’d definitely consider staying here again!

There were six of us for two nights in this wonderful place and we can only say: It was just wonderful! Miguel welcomed us warmly, and already upon our arrival all rooms were pleasantly heated while the fireplace was burning cheerfully. We immediately felt right at home. We particularly enjoyed the time in the spacious living room, where we played many games of billiards. The room is just perfect for socializing. It was particularly nice to go to the garden in the morning and pick fresh oranges, pomegranates or lemons from the trees – a real highlight! Another plus: The car could be parked right next to the place. A small point I would like to note concerns the address. This was only communicated to us after booking and was initially not quite correct. Since we had a journey of two hours, this could still be clarified in time, as Miguel responded very quickly to our request. Thank you!

Ana and her sister were super available and kind, the house was just the retreat we needed, beautiful and very well located (near a river beach and two cities) but with the peace we were looking for! We have a small daughter and a dog and the space was perfect for everyone 🤩 We loved our stay and we will definitely be back!
