Monthly Rentals in Barkhamsted Reservoir

This is a lovely historic building in peaceful surroundings. It's spacious and clean inside, with comfortable beds and couches. If you have problems with steep stairs it might be tricky, but there are two handrails to help. The only bathroom is downstairs - something to keep in mind if you need to get up at night. The host was very responsive about some minor repair issues we reported. I'd be happy to stay there again!

Had a great stay with my family. My city kids will remember the experience! We really enjoyed participating in farm life for a morning and spending time with the people and animals and this beautiful place. “Farm chores” were optional but more substantial than I imagined — on our stay, it wasn’t like a brief experience crafted for tourists, but more like “shadowing” a whole morning of duties in the care of a variety of animals and their habitats. There’s also a small but thoughtfully designed playground on site which was a conducive stage for imaginative play.

Very cute little place to stay and have a cozy weekend. Definitely recommend Campbell’s Falls (A hike John recommended to us)

We had a beautiful, peaceful stay at Bruce and Cheryl's guest home. The space was perfect for my toddler to run around in the yard, the accomodations were cozy and quiet, and our hosts were very gracious. Bruce built us a fire in the fire pit overlooking the river one evening. It was incredibly beautiful! If you have an EV, there is a convenient Tesla charger on site. The property is only a short walk away from a state park with miles of hiking trails. We would definitely like to go back for another stay!
