House vacation rentals in Barjac

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

The workshop is absolutely lovely! Huge windows that make you feel like you are in nature. Bright, cozy, quiet, comfortable, serene and all the amenities. Really cool design. Great hike only 10 minutes away to Les Trois Moulins. Best of all our Yolene, our wonderful and friendly host!

Very welcoming, friendly and attentive hosts. Nelson, a lovely golden retriever. The pool is really a plus. Very quiet and very cozy place. The sharing platter they offer is a treat, as well as the homemade olive oil. We recommend this address. We'll be back.

This stay was a real pleasure, from our welcome by Sylvain to our departure, accompanied by Sylvain's mother; sunny people who make you want to come back! The house centralizes everything you need for a peaceful stay: swimming pool, deckchairs, jacuzzi, ping pong table, petanque, super comfortable bedding and conducive to a good sleep, to summarize, you are wonderfully well. The house, while being a few minutes from Barjac, is isolated from any noise or other nuisances, you just hear the little birds that lull us to sleep. In short, we can't wait to come back next year, but for a longer stay: so many pretty villages and activities nearby! You can book without a second thought and without hesitation: you will come back won over. Thanks again to Sylvain, his mom, and our host Michel for this place designed for everyone's well-being.

Our host was really great, very accommodating and his accommodation is really good, there is everything you need in it for a pleasant stay. I would recommend it without hesitation. If we have to come back I already know where to go.

Paulina’s house is amazing. So peaceful lovely nature around. A swimming pool in the garden The house is beautifully decorated with amazing furniture ,nice bed. A nice morning walk of 1 hour took us to the village where we had coffee.Great restaurants. Paulina is an amazing host. She has put a lot of effort in to make you feel right at home and a lot of info. about the area and surroundings . Would love to come back

Clothildes place is absolutely beautiful. very spacious, high ceilings, both bedrooms are huge. all decorated it a very tastefully way. we stayed there with our 2 kids, it fits 6 people with a bed in the attic. The village is tiny, there is 1 restaurant 5 min walk from the house which was very good. some of most beautiful towns are 3-20km drive away. the pool is small but was sufficient for kids and us to cool down in. The guide which Clothilde prepared was one of the best I have seen, we took it with us everywhere we went. book your restaurants in advance as those towns are small and most of the places run 1 service for lunch and dinner. Clothilde was an amazing host, handy where needed otherwise we were left to us. highly recommend this place!

We had a great time at Claude's place. The house is very well-equipped, everything is thought out for the comfort of travelers (high quality bedding). It's best to have a vehicle to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted, due to the capricious weather and voracious mosquitoes. Claude is really a real plus in this rental, very welcoming, good advice, while remaining discreet, which allows you to enjoy the stay in peace. The small touches (bottle of rosé, olives from the garden) made us very happy and were more than appreciated. We highly recommend this listing!

The accommodation is functional, pretty and the place is peaceful. You need to take the car to get around because the cottage is remote but this is not a problem when you are looking for the calm of the countryside. I would recommend this place without a problem. Your stay will be sweet!

Gite ideally placed to shine on the different activities around Vallon Pont d 'Arc. Quiet, well-equipped, the pool is very pleasant. We had a lovely stay.

Couldn’t have asked for a better house - ticked all the boxes and was conveniently close to Avignon without being in town. The house was spotless with all amenities thought about. Pool, loungers, outside dining was brilliant. Will definitely be back.

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

We had a wonderful family stay in this very nice house with a breathtaking view. Exteriors are also very well maintained A very good welcome, nice little touches in the kitchen that were waiting for us, a very accommodating host for the checkout time. Thanks for all of this . I recommend

Had a great leave! A very nice house with everything you need! Nathalie ne dominique is always there for their guests. Very nice domain and very well maintained. There is air conditioning on the lower floor and upstairs there are very good fans ready. There are shutters to keep the freshest in the house. Very smooth communication, very nice! pool was very ok, enough sun loungers, extra refrigerator, freezer..... thank you dominique and nathalie for the pleasant stay!

We really enjoyed our unfortunately quite short stay in Labastide-de-Virac. The house was great, spacious in absolutely nice location. An excellent base for breathtaking hikes. We truly enjoyed our stay, a perfect location to unwind and immerse yourself in nature. It was a nice surprise to find so many animals: a horse, super cute dogs and a cat. The garden is beautiful, you can walk around, go down to the river, enjoy quietness and pure nature all around. The road to the location is also very nice - like a hidden path through nature. It’s definitely a place to come back to, with an amazing energy. Even two nights restore you fully and feels like you stayed much longer than this. Not to mention a stylish and tastefully decorated house. You can find all you need. Amazing both side terraces - to enjoy a morning sun and a sunset.

We had a great week, the accommodation is very well equipped and Pierre and Julie also provided us with everything we needed for our 6-month-old baby. The house, the garden, the pool, everything is impeccable (and very beautiful!), quiet and yet 5 minutes from Gordes. Hosts and concierge are responsive and attentive 👌

We stayed a few days with our two months old daughter in Simon’s beautiful villa. It was the highlight of our parental leave travel in south of France. Or maybe the best decision during our trip :) The villa’s location is ideal for peaceful, tranquil and private holidays. Meanwhile also super accessible to neighbor town for groceries and restaurants. We utilized almost all the outdoor dining spots (there are three!!) during our stay, it was wonderful! Spring lunch under the shed with the view of entire valley on a sunny day. Wine and cheese night by the pool with the look of entire private property, vineyard and mountains. It was really nice. The house itself was super baby / kid equipped. For new parents like us, it was such a relief. The kitchen was also well equipped with this hillside / vineyard view - wish we could have this view in our daily life. Had wonderful and memorable few days in Simon’s place. Simon is super responsive and kind as a host. Would definitely recommend!

Typical pleasant studio,functional very good bedding and very friendly welcome

This listing is beautiful and is located in a splendid setting. It's total calm. There are some very nice hikes to do in the area. We came at a time when it was not very hot with a lot of rain. The heating system is a small slow-burning wood stove that we had to supply with wood throughout our stay to heat the home and remove moisture. But this stay was a unique experience.

Second stay at Pierre & Sarah and the house is just as fabulous as it was the first time. Attentive yet discrete hosts, gorgeous surroundings. We will be back!
