House vacation rentals in Ballyshannon

Came to Ireland for a family vacation - 8 adults and a 1 year old. This was our third AirBnb on the trip and cannot say enough about how wonderful it was! So much history but with modern amenities. It was the best part of our trip. Went on many walks - over to the castle and to Harvey's Point stopping at the Famine Pot and seeing great views of the lake & farm animals along the way. Stayed three nights and used the pool/pond and sauna every day. The dining & living rooms were really spacious. We cooked all of our meals - the kitchen is a great set up with loads of dishes and anything you could need. The butcher in town had a great selection. Musical instruments were a huge bonus. It was quite warm for May so we didn't have a chance to have any fires - but the fireplaces would be wonderful for cool nights. There is also the 'wagon' which has a double bed, small kitchen and seating area and an adjacent full bathroom available. Rose was always a message away and super helpful. Loved it!

Honestly one of the nicest Airbnb's I've ever stayed in, the house is amazing, they have renovated the property with great care and attention to detail, sauna was perfect, especially the river to take a dip in after to cool down. I'll be back sometime in the future for a longer stay.

We had a wonderful time at Barbara's place! The space was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail really stood out, everything from the cozy linens to the thoughtful little touches like extra towels and the selection of breakfast items, made our stay feel extra special. Barbara was extremely welcoming and responsive, making the check-in process smooth. I truly appreciated how thoughtful and accommodating she was throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, convenient spot to stay!

Amazing house with everything that you could possibly want or need. Hot tub/spa was amazing and the view spectacular. Would highly recommend Ernie’s Den. A+++

My family and I recently had a wonderful stay in wave's lodge Rossnowlagh. The lodge was very spacious, comfortable and clean with all mod cons. The outside area was just beautiful, we were lucky to have great weather so made full use of the great BBQ and patio area. The children loved the space outside and had hours of fun on the swing throughout our stay. The lodge is only a short distance from Rossnowlagh beach. Overall an amazing break and we would recommend the lodge to other families. We hope to return, as we loved Rosssnowlagh. Thank you Donna for our lovely stay at your beautiful Lodge.

We had a lovely short break at Edel’s home and it was truly wonderful. The house was thoughtfully equipped for families with young children which made for a very relaxing stay! The views were absolutely stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Edel was a responsive and attentive host, even sending us a thoughtful reminder to catch the beautiful sunset. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay at Jean's, the best rental in the area where I have been going for years. Ideally located between Ballyshannon for the Rory Gallagher festival and Donegal for family and friends. The house was better than in the photos and very well-equipped, nothing was missing, and when I arrived I saw that Jean had done some shopping for me, fridge filled, bread, cereals, everything needed for a first meal and breakfast. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner, but I think I'll come back every year to this beautiful place.

the house was friendly and very quiet. The house is ideal for 2 parents and 2 children, as you cross one room to get to the other. Sinead was friendly and very helpful. We had a very good time and would definitly recommend the accomodation, thank you !

Extremely clean house & met by very friendly host on arrival. Large, airy rooms & neat garden. Only very slight quibble is the locks on toilet/shower doors are sticky & advisable not to lock them otherwise everything else is perfect. Would stay there again, like a shot.

A real gem , it was like a show home with everything you wanted , they even left a welcome pack of goodies in the fridge , they are such a nice couple and couldn’t do enough to help us with any Q’s , gr8 location for touring round 👍😎

Sharon was a fantastic host, super responsive and no question or query was too much trouble. The house is lovely and clean with laid-out instructions for the broadband and heating. The view is brilliant stretching across from St John’s Point to Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Leitrim and Sligo (Benbulban). I would say on a good day you can see Mayo! There is a coffee pod around the corner and the beach is about a 3-minute drive towards Killybegs. We have a young family and Sharon made sure there was a travel cot available which was a great help for packing up the car for the long journey. I would recommend and I will be back to Largy!

A lovely property for anyone looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy if the weather permits. Close to a lot of natural attractions. Liam was a very welcoming host and I highly recommend a stay here.

I give Home in the heart of Donegal Town an A+++! Sheila was an amazing host that provided everything you could need in a home away from home. Her place is exactly what the pictures show including a lovely back yard space and a line to hang your wash to dry. The home is located in a quiet part of town. There is parking for your car and it’s just a 5 min. walk to the center of town. I would highly recommend Sheila’s place. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kinlough. The house was absolutely pristine. Modern layout with all the amenities you could possibly need for a perfect break. The beds were all very comfortable which meant we all slept so very well! Sioned and Peter were both very responsive to any messages and very helpful with questions asked. We found loads to do in the area and would highly recommend the Chinese up the road for a great takeaway. We also enjoyed a few drinks in the Anglers Rest over the road. We would definitely return if we are back in the area at any point.

We had a great stay in Bundoran. The description and pictures of the house are equivalent to reality. The house is very complete and well equipped, especially for travelling with children. It is in a quiet neighbourhood but town centre is in walking distance, as is the beach. We loved the garden and to sit outside, when the sun came through. Beds and mattresses were very comfortable.

Excellent house for a large family group. We particularly appreciated the range of rooms and the number of twin beds for kids used to their own bed as so many houses just have doubles. The size of the living / dining area is great, also the sitting room is a super size and the tables in dining and conservatory gave E options for different games / activities going on at the same time. Even though we didn’t get the good weather we hoped for, the size and layout of the house facilitated a wonderful family holiday.

We had the best time at Marcus’ place and will definitely be staying again in the near future! Could not recommend it enough! If you’re looking for beautiful scenery, great location and amazing host you have to stay here! From the start to the end Marcus and Lee were brilliant, responded right away to messages, gave clear instructions on arrival and very friendly guys. Whole family loved the place which was amazing. It’s also 20 minutes from Sligo and 30 to Rosses Point with one of the best beaches in Ireland. Thank you again Marcus and Lee

The perfect home with perfect hosts. Everything about the home was dreamy. Its location, its views, and all the high end finishes made our Christmas stay exactly how we had hoped. The breathtaking view took time away from our reading time bc we couldn’t stop staring out. The layout is perfect for multigenerational families, 2 large bedrooms downstairs and a bunk room with a tv and bean bag chairs upstairs with a huge and comfortable living space. So much space for everyone to find a nook to hang out. There was a cozy pub just down the road, a fantastic and friendly butcher and a well stocked grocery store all a few mins away. Beautiful scenic drives a few mins away too. Una and Chris were amazing hosts that helped make our chaotic Christmas trip more relaxing by offering services beyond what we expected. They had the house decorated and ready to have a beautiful Christmas. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the area.
