Absolutely brilliant stay! The place is beautiful and in a great location. Plenty of space and great amenities available. The shower was great! Hege was really responsive and really helpful. I can’t fault it. I had a great stay and would love to stay again!

Wow, what an incredible experience. All the comfort and modern luxury set amongst the harsh environment makes for memories that will last a very long time. Our entire family enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything about the accommodation was very well thought out, practical, modern, comfortable, fully equipped and visually stunning. Credit to Cato & Solveig for putting so much love and effort into turning this piece of history into something that anyone who cares to visit to enjoy. The were lovely hosts to interact with. We adored Calum's house. As soon as we walked in, we felt at home. Calum provides everything you need and more for a stay in Lofoten. The house is well made, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. Hands down, our favorite aspect of the house was the hammock for lounging! The beds are very comfortable and we got great sleep. We also loved watching the birds at the feeders out of the kitchen window. The neighborhood was quiet and we took nice walks around and out to the jetty by the Norwegian Sea. Additionally we took a snowshoe with Paul from Polar Folk, a friend of Calum's, and we had an incredible time with our 8 year old. Thanks again for an unforgettable stay at your home. As our daughter said, it was worth taking three planes to get there!

We had an amazing stay at Kine's place! Kine was such a friendly and responsive host, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The atmosphere of the house was fantastic, and it comfortably fit all five of us. The location is stunning, with incredible views right in front of the jetty. The home appliances were also top-notch, making our stay even more convenient and comfortable. To top it off, we were able to watch the northern lights from the yard – an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and scenic getaway.

We can 100% recommend this! The house is very cozy and welcoming and had everything we needed. The view from the windows is super pretty and we managed to see northern lights few times just above the house. The location is good for day trips around Lofoten. Thank you 😊

Amazing location. Spacious. Very well equipped kitchen. Great shower. Warm underfloor heating in bathroom. Rooms warmed very quickly with good temp control. Good washing machine & tumble dryer/drying rack. Very helpful host - met us on arrival, cleared deep snow off steps, driveway & car. Comfortable bed. Limited headroom in one of the bedrooms (as pictured). Many thanks - would recommend.

Really nice place. The apartment is actually nicer than what the pictures show. We slept there for one night - and everything was just as it should be.

If you’re thinking of getting aurora tours, just get Rita’s guesthouse instead. It was super clean and cozy, and we saw the aurora for both nights!! Definitely will stay again if we ever visit Gimsøysand!

We spent a week in Lena's apartment. We enjoyed the storm from the first moment on. The apartment is lovingly and tastefully renovated in old style. The view of the harbor inlet is magical.. you see lots of different boats that quietly glide past, the different colors and levels of the water depending on the weather and wind, and also all charming little houses on the other side. And in the backdrop towers majestic mountains… just incredible!! Lena is an amazing host. Helpful and easy to reach and immediately felt like a dear old friend. We climbed Festvågstinden in Henningsvær but also had a position to many other attractions on Lofoten. We will be longing back every day ♥️

We felt right at home. The apartment was comfortably furnished and was invitingly warm when we arrived. The location is very quiet, right nearby there is a supermarket that has a lot of choice. Since we were traveling by car anyway, it was the perfect location for us. Everything you need was available. The kitchen was very well equipped for everyday needs.

Totally love it! Natalie’s house is just 10 mins away from the port (the pick-up point for lots of tours) and only 4 mins away from the supermarket. It’s so convenient to go everywhere! And her place is well-equipped and super clean. We can easily cook ourselves in the kitchen and find everything we need there. Highly recommended!

Martin's place is one of the best AirBnBs we have stayed at. It is spacious, tastefully furnished, comfortable and clean. Big windows open to breathtaking view of lake and mountains. When the night is clear with full moon and northern light, as we were fortunate to experience, it is an unforgettable sight. Location is convenient to visit all of Lofoten islands. Martin was responsive and courteous. We hope to come back some day!

Very stylishly furnished apartment with views of the harbor entrance and the arrival of the Hurtigruten ships. Public sauna right next door, best restaurant in northern Norway about 20 minutes' walk.

I stayed in several places during my trip across Norway, but this Airbnb in Svolvær was by far the best experience I had. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just perfect. The cabin is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly well-equipped, every single thing you might need is already there, thoughtfully prepared with care and attention. It felt instantly safe, warm, and homey, which is rare to find. What made this stay truly unforgettable was our host. He was so present, kind, and generous, sharing local tips, stories, and our passion for photography. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, observe splendid auroras from the backyard and feel truly welcomed, this is the one.
