Places to stay in Ballater

Beautiful place to stay. Down the track from their farm hidden away with beautiful views. Everything was clean, modern and well kept. The bed linen was superior and so comfy. The garden and outside areas were nicely kept. We had some meat from their farm shop for our dinner. I’d say the space is suited more for two adults or two adults and children as the single beds are narrow. Lovely hot shower and good basic cooking facilities. The hot tub was why we booked it and it didn’t disappoint, it was fab! We had a lovely walk from the pod past the burn and a waterfall to the town for lunch. Lots to see nearby in terms of walks/hikes, fishing, distilleries, castles, coast, towns etc. Responsive host. A good location to explore this side of Scotland and top notch comfortable accommodation to stay in.

Had a wonderful stay in Newtonmore while spending a few days exploring the area. So much to do and will definitely be back! The property is beautiful, fully equipped and spotless. Excellent communication from Dianne throughout. Thank you!!

Barry's & Heather's flat was ideal for our stay in Aviemore. Although it was close to all the central shops, restaurants & pubs, the location was peaceful and quiet. The flat had everything we needed, very clean bedding & towels, a comfortable living room & a very well equipped kitchen. The check-in & check-out instructions were clear & simple. There's plenty to do in & around Aviemore. We went for a walk from Glenmore and also hired bikes for an afternoon. A bit further way, we visited Tomatin Distillery for a fun & informative tour. We had meals and drinks at The Winking Owl and the Cairgorm Hotel, both within 10-15 minutes walk of the flat. We had a really enjoyable few days staying at the flat and would definitely recommend it.

The best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Beautiful location, cozy, relaxing and peaceful. Property had everything we needed. Stunning views from the Hot Tub. Host recommend booking a meal at local hotel and it was fantastic. Would highly recommend Brae Cottage.

Had a wonderful time away with friends on a tame Hen weekend. Colin had a hamper of goodies waiting for us upon our arrival which made the stay extra special. Perfect venue for our needs with the major plus of us all having our own room and ensuite shower room. Also very central for things to do around Aberdeen.

Clean, Homely, and Welcoming – A Great Stay! The accommodation was spotless and had a lovely homely feel. The kitchen was fully equipped, perfect for cooking meals during our stay. We had the pleasure of meeting the host in person, and she was also very responsive and helpful via messaging. There was a wealth of information provided about things to do both in town and in the wider area. The surroundings were beautiful—great for walking—and it was an easy walk into town. We’d happily recommend this place to others and would love to return in the future.

We stayed here for a family get together with 6 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The area in newtonmore is so lovely, quiet and so many beautiful walks nearby. You are a five minute walk from beautiful Scottish landscapes. The kids had so much fun finding the wildcats around the town. The house was lovely and spacious- much bigger than we thought because of the photos. Museum was also in walking distance which is free (just asked for donations). The house was very clean and had all amenities we needed along with lots of board games and DVDs. The TV has been upgraded since the photos also. Mark was responsive to messages and sorted anything we asked for. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will 100% be back. Thanks again☺️

We spent 3 nights at the lodge with 2 kids and everything was perfect. The property is beautiful inside and out and is a perfect location for walking to the Main Street in Pitlochry. A fully equipped kitchen and comfy living area made our stay even better and we will definitely return on our next visit. Gregory recommended places to eat which we were grateful for as we tried somewhere new and it didn’t disappoint. Overall an excellent place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Great location in the town near to nice local cafés and bars. Walkable to the Old and New Golf Courses and the beach. Accommodation is very comfortable and spacious.
