Places to stay in Ballater

Two of us stayed in this apartment and it was perfect for our two night stay. It came with parking and was a short walk into town. The apartment came with everything that we needed, the kitchen was well equipped and there was a comprehensive set of instructions to show how everything worked and local recommendations. Leanne was in touch throughout to offer any assistance and really added to our time in Scotland. Thanks, I would strongly recommend this place.

Beautiful place to stay. Down the track from their farm hidden away with beautiful views. Everything was clean, modern and well kept. The bed linen was superior and so comfy. The garden and outside areas were nicely kept. We had some meat from their farm shop for our dinner. I’d say the space is suited more for two adults or two adults and children as the single beds are narrow. Lovely hot shower and good basic cooking facilities. The hot tub was why we booked it and it didn’t disappoint, it was fab! We had a lovely walk from the pod past the burn and a waterfall to the town for lunch. Lots to see nearby in terms of walks/hikes, fishing, distilleries, castles, coast, towns etc. Responsive host. A good location to explore this side of Scotland and top notch comfortable accommodation to stay in.

Had a wonderful stay in Newtonmore while spending a few days exploring the area. So much to do and will definitely be back! The property is beautiful, fully equipped and spotless. Excellent communication from Dianne throughout. Thank you!!

This was an amazing place for us to stay as an extended family. There were nine of us, plus two dogs, and we rented the Doocot and the Lodge in the grounds. It is located right up in the hills and was blissfully remote yet easily accessible to the A90 to Perth and Dundee. The house itself was very comfortable and exactly as described. The sitting room was amazing with its enormously high ceilings, plenty of squishy sofas and a piano. There was also a Smart TV. For us, the best feature was the enormous dining table which easily seated us all and could have taken several other people too. We had lovely meals together all round the table. It was really memorable. The bathrooms were clean and new. The roll top bath was lovely and super to soak in. Check in, host communications etc were all super easy and they even helped us to have a hot tub ready for our arrival from Fife Hot Tub Hire. All in all, would highly recommend to people looking for a comfortable break away in the hills.

The best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Beautiful location, cozy, relaxing and peaceful. Property had everything we needed. Stunning views from the Hot Tub. Host recommend booking a meal at local hotel and it was fantastic. Would highly recommend Brae Cottage.

Had a wonderful time away with friends on a tame Hen weekend. Colin had a hamper of goodies waiting for us upon our arrival which made the stay extra special. Perfect venue for our needs with the major plus of us all having our own room and ensuite shower room. Also very central for things to do around Aberdeen.

Best location possible. Also very clear instructions and great communication which I find very important when travelling to a new place. Highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights at the lodge with 2 kids and everything was perfect. The property is beautiful inside and out and is a perfect location for walking to the Main Street in Pitlochry. A fully equipped kitchen and comfy living area made our stay even better and we will definitely return on our next visit. Gregory recommended places to eat which we were grateful for as we tried somewhere new and it didn’t disappoint. Overall an excellent place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Anne’s cottage is amazing! It was so comfortable, functional for a long stay, and bigger than I expected. The location is also fabulous, basically one block from the beach and within a 5-10 minute walk from great restaurants - the best food we had all trip including Inverness and Edinburgh. I can’t recommend this air bnb enough, don’t hesitate to stay here!!
