Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Ballarat

We stayed in the cottage for two nights over the Ballarat Marathon weekend. It was very convenient to the town centre and very comfortable. Most importantly the cottage is dog friendly and we were able to bring our two dogs with us to stay. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings very quiet. The dishwasher wasn’t working during our stay but Sue advised us before we arrived so we weren’t caught off guard . Overall a good stay.

We have waited a while to stay at Stonehenge and it was worth the wait. It was peaceful, cosy and very comfortable. All the amenities were great and everything was of great quality. Andreana was terrific with communication and lovely to deal with. I hope we get the opportunity to spend some more time there.

We had a great stay! The property was comfortable and well-equipped, making it ideal for our group’s work trip. The host was attentive and thoughtful, even providing extra towels, which was incredibly helpful. The location was convenient, and the amenities made our stay enjoyable and stress-free. We really appreciated the hospitality and the little touches that made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend to others and consider staying again!

We had a great stay, on a cold rainy long weekend we were cosy and warm throughout the house. The kitchen had everything we needed, and wood was supplied for the fireplace. It was so great to stay in a truly dog friendly house, where dogs are allowed inside and had a fully enclosed backyard to explore. Close to some good restaurants in town, we could not fault anything about our stay!

Gorgeous little home that has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Ballarat. Only minutes from the train station and heaps of restaurants and cafes. Georgie was great to deal with and always had fast responses to any questions. Check in and Check out weee both very simple. I recently stayed for one week with my Border Collie & loved the house. A great location in a very quiet street, with undercover parking in a straight forward drive-in, reverse-out driveway. The house is as described with large rooms & high ceilings; everything you need in the kitchen; the rooms are light & bright; lovely spacious bathroom & a large secure backyard for my fur baby. I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Ballarat.

Max and Carmel's place is very easy to find in the heart of Hepburn Springs. Walking distance to the General Store and several café's, a short drive into Daylesford and a good place to base yourself when exploring the local area. The villa is beautifully decorated, private and peaceful, with plenty of amenities. It's also very dog friendly. Both the front and back yards are fully-fenced, which gave us peace of mind, and our pup Cherry loved curling up in front of the gas log fire. We'll be back next time we're visiting the area!

Extremely comfortable apartment in a great location, just a short stroll to town and all the shops/pubs/cafes. We stayed during the Kings Birthday weekend which was cold and wet and absolutely loved the fire and how cosy it was! Would definitely recommend and will be back!

What an absolutely beautiful place! It was sweltering hot when we stayed and yet the beauty of the house , its entertaining area and the furnishings inside and out were so mind blowingly beautiful the chest was quickly forgotten. Whoever owns the house is very cultured, well travelled and has an eye and we are very grateful that they share it with people like us. Beautiful. And the restaurants nearby are exceptional. We ate at Sault and it was better than most Melbourne restaurants in our opinion.

This was such a cool property in an isolated location but still very close to Hepburn springs. It was a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay with a big group that had everything you need.

perfect little spot in Hepburn, Sharee was flexible and the place was so easy to check in to, even at 8pm in the dark (they left the lights on for us) bedrooms are get, multiple bathrooms and overall just a spacious environmental! One thing i will mention, coffee and tea is not provided at this house, so bring your own!

Amazing location, lovely home - exreamly comfortable and homey! our family had an incredible time here, plenty to do on the property in a beautiful large home. Lucy and David were lovely, responsive, incredible hosts. Thank you for opening your home to us, we had a great time!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely home in Ballarat! The quietness to get away from the city was bliss. The place was clean, plenty of clean towels, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We didn’t really do much cooking, so can’t really comment on the pantry amenities, but had what we needed. The pool and spa were great to keep kids entertained, but given it was Autumn, there were a few leaves in the pool to deal with. The host was friendly and responsive, and the location was great, as it was close to shops, cafes, and local attractions. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Robert’s place was perfect for our family of four. The kids had their own space and the heating was cosy on a very cold wintery weekend. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious and the pizza voucher and wine was a nice touch.

Jane’s house was fantastic for our weekend away. The whole house was extremely clean and beautifully furnished.

We had such a lovely stay at Hazel House. The home is beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming and comfortable from the moment we walked in. The lounge was especially cosy—I spent hours happily reading my book there—and the outdoor BBQ area was a great bonus that we made good use of. Sarah was a fantastic host—super responsive, friendly, and gave us all the detail we needed to enjoy our stay. The location is also spot on, just a short drive to Lake Wendouree. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The home was spotless, so clean and fresh the moment we walked in. You can really tell how much thought and care has gone into making guests feel welcome. Every detail was considered, from the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy touches throughout the space. There was plenty of room for both the kids and adults to relax and enjoy, the games provided were a massive hit with everyone! It felt like a true home away from home. Can’t recommend this place enough. we’ll definitely be back!

Pro: Exceptionally furnished, indoor fireplace created perfectly cosy atmosphere. Comfortable beds, Well prepared kitchen, huge forest like backyard. Board games supplied. Digital/microphone remote a breeze 2 use. Cons: Front door needs a digital keypad. Keybox was difficult to open/close therefore left keys inside n some late arrival guests locked outside (early birds asleep) was frustrating.

Very helpful host, gave clear instructions and was a an easy check-in. Wonderful place in a peaceful area looks exactly like it does in pictures. 10/10 recommend!

We stayed at Allison’s for our babymoon. She welcomed us with yummy home baked friands as well as bone for our pup! Instructions were clear and she even had local recommendations in handy. She was kind enough to have fires lit for our arrival. The place was close to both Ballarat and Daylesford, and very peaceful. We’d highly recommend anyone looking for a dog friendly stay near Daylesford ☺️

My partner and I loved our 2 night stay at Sharon and Stuart’s cottage, such a lovely place and the location is so peaceful, our dog Maeve had the best time and the outdoor fenced area is perfect! We will definitely be back 😊
