The cottage is the perfect base for exploring the Outer Hebrides, the Isle of Benbecula is situated directly between North and South Uist, just 11 miles from Lochmaddy North Uist Ferry Port. We are just five minutes drive from Benbecula Airport. The cottage sits infront of the Loch and next to Charlie's Bistro, where you can enjoy fine food and wine with the freshest local products and ingredients.

We are a small family run business - Baleshare Bothies - consisting of two cosy, self-catering, glamping pods. This listing is for our pod called Hiort, which is dog friendly. We are situated in the peaceful crofting community of Baleshare, North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, and located a short walk from the shore of Baleshare Beach, where there are breath-taking views. Each pod is hired out separately, however you are welcome to book the two pods at the same time depending on availability.

With all mod-cons, this modern building is pure luxurious comfort and peace, and comes with a top of the range separate sauna building all to yourself. The sauna has an cold shower, or wait till the tide comes in and run straight on to the beach for a dip. Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a ¾ double bed, single bed and a fold-down bunk. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.

This was an utterly beautiful place to stay. Our stay at the cottage was exceptional, definitely 5 star quality. Angus our host was so helpful and genuinely caring making sure we had everything we required down to the last detail. We were so warm and cosy when the wind was blowing cold outside. I was delighted to spot 2 Golden Eagles from the garden. We will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

Andre was brilliant with all our changes of plan, communicating clearly and efficiently, constantly going above and beyond to accommodate us. Unfortunately due to the ferry cancellations we were unable to stay in the end, but wouldn't hesistate to book the accommodation again at a later date.

A fantastic, stunning house in beautiful surroundings. Excellently furnished, everything thought for in terms of kitchen appliances, cutlery etc Beautiful wood floors and stairs, comfortable bed. Location excellent for beaches, supermarket and bird watching A short 20 minute drive from the ferry I will certainly go back.

We loved staying at the Larch Shed! Hallin is a beautiful slice of Skye with much to do and is a little off the beaten path from the main tourist areas like Portree. Jane was very hospitable and friendly, and we enjoyed our conversations with her. The Shed itself was exactly as described and very peaceful with an absolutely stunning view of the bay to start and end your day with. Everything was well appointed and we enjoyed the rustic decor. Highly recommend the YurtTea down the road for small breakfast and coffee, as well as nearby Stein Inn for amazing dinner. We also enjoyed Old School Restaurant in Dunvegan for dinner. Would recommend stopping at the co op on Forest rd in Portree for cooking provisions on your way up. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to our return!
