Such a great place to stay while exploring! It’s central and a short drive to all the tourist spots. Would recommend and would stay again. The towels for the hot springs and beach are an extra touch. A great pool and it has everything you need to cook your own meals. Thanks again!!

Nice, renovated house of two floors, open floor plan kitchen. Window in living bit small but large sliding door in second floor allows lot of light. Enclosed patio at second floor has BBQ + table/chairs, unfortunately no wide view due to the high walls. Place was very clean upon arrival, smelled fresh and was cleaned 1x during stay. We liked the firm (but not too hard) mattress of the bed. Owner is very responsive (even with her full-time job!!) and arranged a few extra’s like percolator and charcoal for BBQ. Some regional buses and PDL line B & D stop at +/- 100 m from apartment, other regional buses at +/- 1 km away. Bar/restaurant opposite side of street, small supermarket at 25 m, several other restaurants very close. Very quiet at night, no traffic or airplane noise (no take off/landing at deranged hours & we had sliding door closed because it was not too warm during our stay). The AC (and heater) worked well and was quiet.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Carolina and Pedro’s guest suite. They were incredibly friendly, and communication was always quick and easy. Pedro gave us a great tour of their pineapple plantation, and Carolina’s homemade pineapple jam was delicious. A personal highlight for me was seeing their two Jack Russell Terriers, Greta and Fidel, every day. After recently losing my own Jack Russell, their presence brought me so much joy. Since we visited in April and the weather was still a bit moody, the pool wasn’t in service yet – but I’d love to return in the main season to enjoy the beautiful pool as well. Highly recommended!

The apartment is very spacious and very cosy. You can even see the ocean from the terrace. It has everything you need and grocery shops are very close by. We felt very welcome and the communication with Ana & Jorge was perfect. We can highly recommend.

Ricardo’s cosy, well designed cabin offers great value and a very convenient base for Ponta Delgada and the west parts of the island. The space is thoughtfully laid out with a shower room, kitchenette with enough supplies for basic cooking, and a lovely outdoor space to sit and enjoy a coffee. I was travelling with a 4-year old and it worked well for us. I appreciated having a parking space within the compound (as it’s not always easy parking in Ponta Delgada) and it was also great to have a split AirCon unit as the nights were rainy and quite cold so this helped keep the room warm! Others have touched on this in reviews but to reiterate: the gardens are gorgeous and very tropical but location-wise it is on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada. With this in mind, you are getting a very convenient location with parking and easy access to the town (a 10 minute drive) but you will hear some traffic and it’s not a countryside location (though once inside it feels that way with the gardens).

Wir hatten ein paar wunderbare Tage bei Elisa und Pawel. Das ganze Grundstück ist unheimlich ruhig und perfekt zum Entspannen. Der Pool und der Garten waren ein absolutes Highlight! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Wir würden jedem, der nach São Miguel reist raten, in dieser Unterkunft zu übernachten. Danke für diese schöne Zeit!

This is the perfect apartment for a couple or solo traveller wanting to base themselves in Ponta Delgada. It is within walking distance of all the main amenities, museums, bars and restaurants. The apartment is well kitted out, clean and quiet. Ana is friendly and helpful, she had left some local bread and jam for us to try on arrival - very thoughtful. I would recommend this booking!

This is a very unique and peaceful place to stay. The garden and house is beautiful and Ana is proud of the oasis she has created and this is evident in her attention to detail. She is also incredibly knowledgeable about the island. Breakfast is amazing with great coffee, and there us always fruit available, some from the garden. She includes local products such as cheeses and yoghurt. The location, although isolated is close to the main road and a perfect place to explore Sao Miguel from. There is also a large supermarket nearby. I stayed 3 nights but should have stayed longer!

Amazing location, close to Villa Franca village, with a stunning view from the terrace. The flat has been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. On top of that, the owners were incredibly thoughtful, providing us with fresh fruits and vegetables, which were delicious. We also encountered a small problem, but they resolved it quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property. An authors paradise with incredible ocean views right beneath you. Pedro was always smiling so you know this is the spot in Vila Franca Do Campo to stay. Had a delicious Sunday dinner at Mercado Da Villa a charming 3 minute stroll from the property. The breakfast served the next morning was organic and memorable again with a smile of sunshine.

Ana est une hôte aux petits soins avec ses invités. Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassé lors de notre séjour ce qui fût une très belle surprise ! Le logement était impeccable avec une vue imprenable sur le levé du soleil ! Merci encore à Ana et son fils pour l’accueil, tout était parfait !

Aufenthalt bei Gina war tadellos. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Check-in war einfach und unkompliziert. Gina selbst war sehr hilfsbereit und stets erreichbar.

Paulo and Cátia were extremely friendly, always ready to support , very chatty and kind , the place was great with everything you need , and the view was absolutely amazing !!! The dogs were friendly and the kids had great fun with them always happy to return to the house where the dogs were already waiting for them with a warm welcome , specially Bela the biggest dog !!! Definitely worth the stay and recommended to couple or small family ! We will be back to visit next time we in the Island :)

I spent 10 days here with my partner. The stay was absolutely amazing. Maria is a wonderful and very kind woman. After the long flight and upon our arrival, we received a basket full of food from Maria, fresh bread, and some small items in the fridge, which was an incredibly kind gesture and made us very happy after the long flight and the time difference, which didn't make us feel too well. She gave us recommendations for places to visit. She always had a smile on her face and was very friendly. During the second half of our stay, I got sick, and Maria offered me medication, for which I am very grateful. The accommodation was in a quiet, beautiful location, and it suited us perfectly. If we return to the Azores in the future, I would be happy to stay with Maria again. Thank you for everything.

Nous avons eu un vrai coup de cœur pour ce logement ! Dès notre arrivée, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous : l’endroit est à la fois cosy, authentique et baigné d’une atmosphère chaleureuse. Les hôtes ont été formidables, toujours présents quand il fallait, avec une gentillesse et une réactivité qui nous ont vraiment touchés. Maria nous a donné plein de super conseils pour découvrir des endroits sympas hors des sentiers battus. Et puis il y a leur chien, adorable et taquin qui a encore ajouté une touche de douceur à notre séjour. L’emplacement est parfait pour explorer la région, tout en profitant d’un cadre paisible avec un patio et un grand jardin arboré. Un immense merci pour tout !

We stayed 5 days at Tânias wonderful place. Immediateley feeling a bit like @home. After a little misunderstanding about our rental car, she checked one the day before arriving. SO GREAT! Tânia was very helpful. We loved the garden and also the cuddles with her cats and the pug lady Carlotta. Lajes do Pico is the perfect spot for whale and dolphin watching. Short drive to a few snorkeling spots and also quite near to Madalena. HUGE RECOMMEND!

Notre séjour chez Soledade s'est passé merveilleusement bien. Soledade est une personne très gentille et très chaleureuse. Nous avons aussi été agréablement surpris par le logement qui est encore mieux que sur les photos. Le logement et la piscine sont situés dans un petit complexe bordés d'arbres et de plantes. Cet endroit est très spacieux et paisible. De plus, nous étions très bien situés pour visiter toute l'ile et aussi à proximité d'une belle plage et de bons restaurants. Nous recommandons fortement ce logement.

We had a great time at Mónica and Ricardo’s place. After we booked, they sent us a guidebook with advices on what to do in the island which was very helpful. Once we arrived, Mónica was waiting to welcome us and the place was really really clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. We found for example some good snacks, water and even rain jackets. It was very peaceful and silent. The location was also good and we could park in the garden of the house. Thank you Monica and Ricardo!

Quelle belle belle rencontre. Luzia est une hôtesse exceptionnelle qui a tout mis en œuvre pour que nous nous sentions chez nous. Une maîtresse de maison exceptionnelle qui a briqué tout l’appartement, nous a préparé des queijadas d’un niveau professionnel (sans parler de la mise à disposition des œufs et d’épicerie) et a été jusqu’à décrocher et plier le linge qu’on avait laissé sécher (jusqu’à apparier les chaussettes !) Le fait qu’on ne parle pas nos langues respectives ne nous ont en rien empêché de nous comprendre. Nous souhaitons absolument à tout le monde la chance d’avoir une hôtesse telle que Luzia.

Nice appartment to stay in Ponta Delgada, it is simple, but has everything necessary for comfortable stay. Appartment is located near city center, not far from few good restaraunts. Host was very friendly and gave us lots of local recommendations.
