Would def stay again. The place was a good size and in a local neighborhood, close to beach. We had plumbing issues, but we are also on an island in the middle of no where so we made due. Host was lovely and very responsive. The mattresses were rather tough and one actually was rather caved in in the middle. The welcome basket was sweet and we loved the laundry line to hang clothes. It was far enough from the super touristy section of Ponta Delgada which was perfect for us. We even caught a little neighborhood parade right out front door. A little quaint market is right around the corner. There’s also bike, running paths directly out front. We’re loved our stay despite a few issues. And the host did her best to address them right away!

We had a really lovely time at Cláudia‘s. Not only did she send us a lot of information, including recommendations for a delicious restaurant and an amazing hike, but she was also generally incredibly friendly, helpful and communicative. The house is beautiful and spacious, and the village and surrounding have a remote, adventurous vibe. Thank you so much for having us, Cláudia and Vítor! ☺️🙏

La cuisine était très bien équipée (lave-vaisselle et accessoires de cuisine). La salle de bain disposait de nombreuses serviettes, gels douche, savonnettes et papier toilette. Un plateau de bienvenue comportait des spécialités locales. L'espace était très bien pour deux personnes. La chambre donnait sur la place de l'église et était au calme. Depuis le salon, il y avait une belle vue sur les montagnes.

Stunning location, quiet except for the sound of crashing ocean waves, great shower and water pressure, comfortable bed, easy walk into town to stroll along waterfront, we made breakfast “at home” everyday in the well-stocked kitchen. The sun made a brief appearance and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting poolside with the lovely view. Highly recommend, thank you for your warm hospitality, Jose!

Alojamento agradável, fiel às fotos. Situado numa rua sem saída, é muito tranquilo, frente ao mar e com vistas para a ilha do Pico. A partir daí, pode-se chegar a qualquer lugar da ilha em menos de 40 minutos. Não tive a oportunidade de estar com os anfitriões, mas a comunicação com eles foi excelente. Tive o prazer de ter a visita de alguns gatos 😻 O único ponto negativo é o Wi-Fi, um pouco fraco e intermitente, o que não é ideal para o teletrabalho. Tirando isso, recomendo vivamente este alojamento. Obrigado !

Isabel et Manuel ont été merveilleux depuis l'accueil jusqu'au support sur place (ma femme a dû trouver un hopital sur place, Manuel nous a conseillé rapidement). L'appartement est parfait, très bien équipé et avec une vue sublime sur l'océan. Dès notre arrivée, les hôtes nous ont tout expliqué, conseillé des activités aux alentours et 2 excellents restaurants dans le village. Tout était parfait, nous recommendons vivement cet appartement ! Seul commentaire pour les personnes avec difficultés à marcher, il y a une belle pente (25m) pour monter depuis le trottoir jusqu'à l'appartement.

Andreia was a great host: she was always friendly and available for us. The apartment casas do Navalhao was amazing, with everything you need for a trip in the Pico island. Moreover Andreia was super flexible to keep our luggages before and after thr check-in/check-out. I would put 6 stars if possible! Highly recommended.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, mitten in Ponta Delgada gelegen. Zimmer + Gemeinschaftsküche waren sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet (inkl. Kühlschrank, Herd, Backofen). Zu Fuß/ mit dem Taxi war die Unterkunft sehr gut zu erreichen, mit dem Auto stelle ich es mir herausfordernd vor, da es direkt in der Innenstadt liegt und Parkmöglichkeiten sehr begrenzt sind. Das Frühstück wurde in einem Korb vor die Tür gestellt und war liebevoll zusammengestellt. Das Frühstück war gut, aber nicht sehr variabel. Wir waren für zwei Tage dort, um Ponta Delgada anzuschauen und auf der Insel anzukommen, dafür war es perfekt.

Wer wie wir gern individuell und dennoch sehr komfortabel unterwegs ist, findet hier die perfekte Basis für Sao Miguel. Ein intelligent konzentriertes, traumhaft schönes Grundstück, super Lage, Gastgeber mit der perfekten Mischung aus Zurückhaltung und Gastfreundschaft. Für uns ein wunderbares Urlaubserlebnis, dass wir sehr gern weiter empfehlen. An die steile, enge Zufahrt zum Grundstück gewöhnt man sich ;-). Die Basisversorgung im Ort ist gut. Alles ist in 1,5 h gut zu erreichen und ohne Auto geht hier eh Nix. Mit der Ausstattung und dem Reinigungsservice waren wir super zufrieden. Obacht lediglich für die Gäste bei den weißen Polstermöbeln und den eisenhaltigen Quellen im Nachbarort. Den touristischen Nachbarn auf dem Grundstück kann man gut aus dem Weg gehen, sofern sie es denn auch tuen ;-). Kurz zusammengefasst: einfach toll.

Beautiful gem of a spot tucked into the hillside. Beautiful exterior, interior, and the views are just stunning. We were here during Easter and were surprised with 4 lovely chocolate bunnies! The house and property are truly breathtaking. I would love to stay again! Very quiet little village though quick walk to little market, beach, and a couple of options for dinner/restaurants. Our girls absolutely loved the pool! I cannot say enough good about our stay.
