We made a stop at Veronique's place on our trip to Lisbon. Although we could only stay one night, bedding was provided. The yurt stands on the grounds of Veronique and her family, but you have your private area and are undisturbed. We used the bathroom in the main house which was easy to reach. Wonderful was the tranquility and birdsong, it is a beautiful place to rest and recharge. The contact with Veronique and her husband was very warm, even or despite the fact that we could only speak to each other in broken English. Many thanks to Veronique and her family!

Joanne's cottage is a great haven of peace. There is a beautiful, peaceful park bordered by a small river. It offers shaded and sunny areas according to everyone's wishes. Chez Gerard, a pearl in the Creuse. We stayed 10 nights at the gite Chez Gerard. A very pleasant cottage, with a huge garden where the dog could also run free. In addition, the hosts Gerard and Marjon were more than friendly and made our stay feel very warm. We greatly enjoyed the tranquility, the space and the beautiful surroundings. This was one of the best French gites we have ever stayed at. The finish inside and outside was very high quality, the design was beautiful and it was very well equipped throughout and also comfortable. Christelle, our host, was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. The setting is so private, the only noise you will hear is the birds singing and the cicadas doing whatever it is they do to make that noise that confirms you are on holiday! In a word - lovely!

Charming house and very quiet environment... you only hear the sounds of nature. Very relaxing. The house is beautiful, tastefully furnished. The beds are comfortable, the sitting area is convenient and the garden is ideal for a nap at the end of the day. Of course, the downside of this calm is that you are far from everything and you have to drive a lot. But that's the price of tranquility.
